Chapter 56

*Ellie's P.O.V*

I looked at Kayleb, confused. "What happened to Alex?"

"I am starting to think that this whole thing is getting to her head. I had saw her yesterday and she was completely off. Like it seems like her whole world surrounds Matt. She's forgetting us." He started to say and I knew right away to stop him from talking.

"Kayleb, do you have any idea on what you are talking about?" I asked.

He gave me a look. "I talked to her. She was all depressed and shit."

"She misses Matt. That's normal for a girlfriend to miss her boyfriend. It would be the same if we were dating right now." I was telling him, trying to get it through his head.

He sighed. "Yeah, I know but I am worried thinking that if she is all caught up in Matt then she would completely not be herself. I know how she feels about him. But it's gonna catch up to her."

"What are you even thinking?"

Kayleb is completely over his own head. I know that he is concerned for Alex. He always has been even since of what had happened to her years ago. But I think he is starting to become super overprotective of her. I understand but then I don't.

Kayleb wasn't saying any words right now. I think he is trying to think of something to say. He doesn't want to say the wrong words.

"Ellie, you and I both know what we would have to do."

I immediately shook my head. "I don't want to get in the middle of anything. She's happy so we should let her be. Oh wait, let me correct myself. You should let her be. You're the one who's worried about her so much."

"What's stopping you, Ellie?" He yelled.

"We're her best friends. We shouldn't even be in the middle of anything. She's happy even if she's a little down because she isn't with him."

"A little? She's all depressed. It took me about three or four days to actually get inside her door. She wouldn't even open it. She just sat on the couch the whole time. This isn't normal for her and you know it." He said all serious.

I looked up at him.

I knew what I had to do. Which will be able to calm him down for at least a good while. I used my hands and cupped his face. He was just watching me closely with his eyes. Then I pulled him closer to me and kissed him on the lips.

He immediately put his hands on my waist and pulled me closer to him. The kiss had deepened and it went on for a while.

"You really know how to calm me down." Kayleb told me after we were done making out.

I didn't really think Kayleb and I would makeout but things happen. Well, I had imagined it because we both like each other but just didn't know on when it was going to happen. Well, it happened today.

"I had to be able to get your mind on other things other than what you were telling me." I told him.

He smiled. "Well, it worked."

Then I had saw him grabbing his shoes and putting them back on his feet. I was confused on what he was doing. Then he got off from the couch and started to walk towards the door.

"Where are you going?" I asked him.

He turned back around. "I am going to Alex's."

"After what we just did, you're going to go to her house and tell her how it is. You're going to speak your mind to her about how you feel about this whole thing. Are you serious?" I shouted.
