Chapter 51

*Matt's P.O.V*

Waking up the next day and completely remembering what happened the night before completely put a smile on my face.

The night went exactly how I imagined it would go and I'm truly thankful for it all.

I, of course, remembered what Kayleb had told me about how if it doesn't go perfect at first, just continue doing what you're doing and it'll still go right as you chose to be.

Ever since I came here to visit Alex, I was just waiting for the moment where I would ask her to be my girlfriend. I was always constantly thinking on how to have it happened and had finally came up with the idea.

I made the night so romantic and wanted it to be special. It was better than I imagined.

So now Alex is my girlfriend and I couldn't be happier.

But there is some other news that is on my mind as well.

During my speech to her last night, I had told her on how I will be leaving to go back to Atlanta soon and I had to do the one thing which was ask her to be mine.

I already did that and now I know how close this vacation is about to end.

I go back to Atlanta in two days. This vacation is almost over.

This past week and a half has been really fun and I hate how it all has to end but I know that I do plan on seeing Alex more often after I go back.

I could see myself coming back to visit him a month after everything. But who knows on wha can happen.

But I can't worry about leaving for Atlanta right now. I'll worry about that when I am having to pack my suitcase again and I'm at the airport.

I just wanna spend this time of day by myself before driving to my girlfriend's house to spend time with her.

So I had gotten breakfast down in the lobby and brought it to my hotel room.

I spent the next 15 or so minutes on my phone and eating my breakfast and just enjoying the quiet time that I have.

I'm hoping that my family has been doing alright without me. I do miss them and can't wait to see them again.

But I also know that I will be getting asked a lot of questions about what has happened when I get back. That's why I'm going to wait to tell Macsen about how I asked Alex to be girlfriend. He knew that I was thinking of doing it but he didn't know when it was going to happen.

I looked through Instagram and saw that Alex posted a picture. Then she had posted on her Instagram story as well.

By looking at her Instagram story, it looks to be like she is hanging out with Kayleb and Ellie.

I had no idea that they were going to be at her house today. She didn't tell me.

But I know that I don't need to be told anything because they are her friends and they are close.

It'll be hard to break that tight knit group apart, I gotta be honest with that.

So I'm not all that bothered because I think it'll be nice it all the four of us can hang out together and spend quality time with one another.

We're all friends.

I know I haven't talked to her friends that much since I've been down so this is a good opportunity for me to just hang out with them and have fun before I have to go back to Atlanta.
