Eddie sat at a table in the kitchen, Will teaching him how to make an ice cream sundae. He didn't remember them from his past at all, but he knew what ice cream was. Eddie figured he might have tried it in the past but didn't know for sure, so he was open to trying it.

"So, we've got vanilla and chocolate ice cream, fudge, cherries, sprinkles, whipped cream, and Oreos," Will said, laying the materials out on the table, before handing Eddie a bowl. "Here's what you do. You scoop the ice cream, then put whatever you want on top."

Will scooped both chocolate and vanilla into Eddie's bowl, then allowed him to do what he wanted with his sundae.

Eddie wasn't willing to miss out on anything, so he topped his creation with every topping there, grinning brightly the whole time. When he and Will had both finished making them, they sat in the living room, spoons in hand.

Initially Eddie seemed hesitant, but after some encouragement from will, he took and bite and a smile crossed his face.

"It's good," he said happily, fudge smudged on his face. "Thank you."

"No problem," Will said, eating his own treat. "Ice cream is probably the best thing on earth."

Eddie hummed in agreement, scooping up more before he began to feel a cold pain in his head. "Will, my brain is exploding!" he cried, putting his ice cream down and grabbing his head.

Will giggled. "That's called a brain freeze. There's consequences to eating ice cream too fast."

Once the pain had passed, Eddie glared at his bowl but continued to eat anyway. They sat in the living room, watching some of Will's favorite movies when they heard a knock at the door.

Will has told Eddie earlier in the morning that if anyone was to knock, he needed to hide in Joyce's room. Eddie didn't understand fully, but he knew about his safety. So, as soon as the knock echoed, Eddie ran to Joyce's room and hid under the bed, peaking out into the room.

The door opened soon after it had been knocked on, and Joyce, Mike and another boy stood on the other side.

Will immediately knew who it was, but he didn't want to say anything until he knew for sure that Eddie wasn't in any danger.

"What's going on?" Will asked, looking at Mike with a confused expression. "Who's this?"

"Where's Eddie?" the boy, who Will assumed must be Richie, asked. He looked stressed and irritated.

"Who?" Will asked, unwilling to risk Eddie's safety.

"It's okay, Will," Joyce said with a soft smile. "Is he hiding?"

Will nodded and disappeared, coaxing Eddie out of the room and to where everyone else was.

Eddie stopped when he saw Richie. He knew who he was, having seen him in visions, but he didn't know anything else besides his name.

"Richie?" Eddie asked, his eyes narrowed slightly, as if he was trying to determine whether he was right or not.

Richie gaped at Eddie, his eyes wide with tears spilling from them. He rushed forward and pulled Eddie into a tight hug, sobbing.

It didn't last long, as Eddie immediately pushed him off, a panicked look on his face, and hid behind Will.

"Eds?" Richie asked, feeling rejected and heart broken. "Wh-why are you pushing me away?"

Eddie narrowed his eyes again, almost glaring at Richie. "I don't know you."

Richie's mouth dropped open in shock and he felt his blood run cold. "Y-you don't know me?" he asked, feeling the lump in his throat and knowing he was going to cry again.

"No I don't," Eddie said. He seemed upset and confused, not knowing why someone he'd only seen in his visions was hugging him or touching him in general. "I know your name but that's it."

If Richie had felt heart broken before, it was nothing compared to what he was feeling now. It was as if someone tore a hole in his chest and left him with an hole that nothing could fill. He didn't know what to do. The person he loved the most in the world was standing in front of him, but didn't recognize him at all.

"You don't remember me," Richie said to himself, but he knew Eddie heard it. He had finally reached the realization that Eddie didn't know anything about him.

Richie didn't know how Eddie survived the clown or anything if that matter, but he didn't really care. All he knew was the continuous thought running through his head.

Eddie doesn't remember me.

Joyce put a hand on Richie's shoulder, who tensed up at the touch. "Do you think you can help him remember? Or at least tell us about him? He doesn't know anything about his past," she said softly, hating how hurt and lost Richie looked.

"Y-you knew he didn't remember me," Richie said, a choked sob in his throat. "You fucking knew!"

"We didn't know who you were or how you impacted him. We didn't know you'd be this upset," Mike said, watching as Richie's face crumbled.

Eddie didn't know what to say. It was clear his lack of knowledge was hurting Richie, but he didn't know why.

"Were we friends?" Eddie asked, the attention in the room shifting to him.

Richie looked at him, sniffing and wiping away his tears. "Yeah, we were. Best friends, actually," he said in a broken voice, wishing he could hug Eddie and have him remember everything.

"Really?" Eddie asked.

"Yeah. We had a bunch of other friends, too," Richie paused to pull the memory album out of his backpack and taking out a picture of the losers club when they were all sitting in Bill's basement. "The losers club."

Eddie took the picture and saw the redhead from his vision, as well as the others in the image who he'd dreamed about, never realizing they were from his visions. He and Richie were side by side in the picture, Richie hugging Eddie and laughing, while Eddie looked annoyed but was smiling softly.

"Losers club," he said, running his finger over the image and hoping he'd remember something more.

Richie watched as Eddie stared at the image. Then, Eddie grabbed his arm and pulled him to the couch, taking the memory album from Richie's hands and opening it to put the photo away. Then, he looked through the pictures, stopping when he got to one of him and Richie.

"You?" he asked, looking up at Richie.

"Yeah, your mom took that of us on the first day of school," Richie said quietly, remembering how broken Sonia looked when she learned her son had been killed.

Now, though, Richie knew he was alive.

"I have a mom?" Eddie asked, his expression hopeful.

He looked so hopeful that Richie felt himself smiling softly. He'd missed Eddie so damn much. Even if he couldn't remember anything, Eddie was still Eddie. He had the same smile, the same eyes and freckles, he was still kind and sweet, and Richie was sure he'd easily get his sarcasm back.

"Yeah, you do. She was kind of controlling, but when you di- uh, disappeared, she got a lot nice. I went to your house a lot and we talked," Richie said, watching how happy Eddie seemed. "If you want I can tell you about your past. You know, so you can remember?"

Eddie nodded eagerly, handing Richie the photo album and scooting close to him. It broke Richie's heart that Eddie didn't remember him, but he tried to have faith that he'd get him back.
