For hours El, Kali, Eddie, and Twelve were still trapped in their confinement room. They didn't know what to do, so their conversation had ceased. El and Kali had both taken short naps while Eddie and Twelve sat in silence.

"How long have you been here?" Eddie asked, unable to stand the silence any longer.

"Four months," Twelve responded, looking at her knees. "I don't even know how he caught me. I thought I'd hidden myself well enough."

Eddie frowned, feeling bad for her. She seemed really upset and angry with herself.

"Do you know if there's any others here?" Eddie asked as the wave of anger passed Twelve's face.

"I have no clue, but I don't really want to know."

"Why wouldn't you want to?"

Twelve smiled softly. "I don't want to know if anyone like me is hurt. If I know, I won't be able to escape knowing that I'm leaving them behind," she said quietly.

Eddie didn't know whether that was a selfish or selfless statement, but he didn't really get a chance to ask. At that moment, the door opened and Brenner walked in.

Twelve and Eddie both backed away, but remained in front of El and Kali, almost as if they were protecting them from him.

"Thirteen," Brenner said, catching Eddie's attention. "Come with me."

Eddie stood up shakily, knowing he had no choice. Before he could follow, however, Twelve stood and grabbed his arm, leaning close to his ear.

"If you have a chance to escape, take it. Don't worry about us," she whispered, before letting go.

Eddie gave her a small nod and followed Brenner, taking one last look at his three friends who were still in the room. El and Kali were still asleep and Twelve looked afraid.

Eddie didn't have any strength or know where to go, so he followed Brenner obediently. They walked down a long corridor in silence, Eddie unsure if he's allowed to talk.

They finally stopped in front of a black door and Brenner opened it, ushering Eddie inside. He sat at a small table dressed with a pitcher of water and two glasses. Brenner took a seat across from him, lifting a glass.

"Why did you give me my memories back?" Eddie suddenly asked, unable to stay quiet anymore. "Why did you take them in the first place?"

Brenner didn't respond, focused on pouring water from the pitcher and handing the filled glass to Eddie.

Eddie didn't take it, glaring at the doctor with his arms crossed. "Tell me what I want to know!" he yelled, feeling his anger start to take over.

"Thirteen-"

"My name is Eddie you fucking crackhead!" Eddie yelled, lifting the glass of water up and throwing it at the wall.

The glass shattered, the splashed water dripping down the wall.

Eddie watched it for a second before feeling a pain in his arm. It felt like electricity being forced through his veins, making him shriek and sit down. He looked at his arm but didn't see anything.

"If you want to keep your memories, I suggest you stop lashing out," Brenner said, leaning back in his chair. "Now, as for why you're here."

Brenner pulled out a thin file, opening it. "I assume you recognize this young man?"

Eddie looked at the page, which was titled "Experiment 014" and had a familiar face as the image on it.

"You son of a bitch!" Eddie yelled, ready to attack Brenner, only for the electricity to stab his arm again.
