Forks, Washington
Izzy is almost never summoned to her father's office, only when there is an important manner there is to be discussed. Which is why she felt her stomach twist with every step she took closer to her father's office. She felt sick, sicker than before and she wasn't sure if she'd be able to hold down her breakfast if her father wants to talk about what she fears the most.
"Ah, Izzy, I'm glad you came," her father greeted her when she walked in the office.
"You... You wanted to see me, father?"
"Yes, please take a seat. There is something I must inform you about."
Izzy nodded and took a seat across from her father. He smiled at her and reached for her hand, giving her a gentle squeeze. "I was talking with Mr. Newton and we've looked at how things are and mostly everything is set for your wedding. So, we were thinking, why wait until the end of May? Why not move the wedding closer? So, we've spoke to Father Tobias and Micheal and everything is set, my darling. Your wedding will be next week."
Izzy's heart stopped at the startling news. She and Edward had agreed weeks ago to come clean about their relationship, the same night they made love and she thought they had more time... A week? They only had a week.
"But... but father, why move it up?" Her heart began beating faster. No, this could not be happening...
"Well, Izzy, I thought you'd be happy. There is no need to wait until May for you wedding-"
"No!" She protested. "I... I want it to be in May, that's the date that I chose."
"Well, there's been a change of plans-"
"But-"
"Isabella Swan!" Her father snapped, irritated by her behavior. "The wedding will be in one week whether you like it or not. Unless, you have another reason on why the wedding can't happen within the week. Do you, Isabella?"
Izzy wanted to tell him right then and there. She wanted to shout it at the tops of her lungs that she loved Edward and only Edward and that she didn't want to marry Micheal. But the words couldn't come. She couldn't say them, so with a broken heart, she shook her head and said, "No, father."
Her father sighed. "My darling, I know it must be scary to start a new life, but believe me, Micheal will make you very happy. There is no need to wait when you can start your future right now."
Izzy could only manage to nod. After that, she stood up and left the room. But she didn't stop there, she ran out of her home and ran to the market where she'll be sure he'll be waiting for her. When she got to the market, she saw him standing by the church, waiting for her. Almost instantly, he turned to Izzy when she approached and turn in direction of the woods. Izzy followed him, unaware of Muriel watching them from a distance.
When they reached the meadow, Edward noticed something was wrong with Izzy.
"Izzy, what's the matter?" He asked.
Izzy couldn't breathe, as much as she wanted, she couldn't. Her heart was hammering her chest and her head was swirling with thoughts. Izzy took his hands in hers and cried. That left Edward dumbfounded, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to his chest.
