Mia walked me over to the room that was facing hers. Their house had many rooms, because it was made to hold more than 100 vampires.

"Freshen up and meet us downstairs" she said.

I closed the door behind her and set my small bag besides the bed. I needed a shower. So, I quickly took my clothes and went inside the bathroom.

The shower helped me focus. I had barely slept last night. I was worried sick about being under the same roof as Gabriel. The amount of times I had wet dreams about him was unreal. I was a hormonal wreck, and I knew vampires couldn't be hormonal!

Once I was done, I towel dried my body and hair.

I chose to wear grey slacks and a white hoodie. Something simple and cozy. I made my way downstairs, barefoot, I enjoyed the feeling of the smooth wooden floors.

They were all sitting in the living room. A few glasses of blood on the table. They were in deep conversation.

"Hey" I said, and they all turned towards me.

"Come here" Mia said, patting the place next to her.

"Help yourself" Everly said, motioning towards one of the glasses.

I took a glass and took a sip.

They seemed relaxed when I was feeding constantly. I didn't know why. It's not like I'm a loose cannon without feeding. I kept sipping and trying to concentrate on the conversation. I didn't participate, because my throat felt tight.

His eyes were on me again. I didn't understand this silent brooding man. Every single time I'm around, this is all he does, staring at me, jaws clenched and just silent. He rarely talks. I think they've grown accustomed to his silence.

I have been spending so much time here, and the place was growing on me. I liked sitting here, and just concentrate on the warmth of their bonds. Their bond was beautiful to me. It felt like a real family. I didn't know I craved that, and it's like I was awakened when I saw how much they meant to each other.

I have grown close to all of them. I had a special connection with each of them. The girls were the closest to me though. Their playful souls intrigued me.

Claire ignored me, and I ignored her. It was a silent, and mutual understanding.

The only person that wasn't close to me and never even attempted to be friendly was Gabriel.

My phone started ringing and when I checked it was Xavier.

"Hey Xavi" I replied, after the second ring, and accidently pressed on speaker.

"Sage baby!" Xavier voice boomed in the living room, which made everyone flinch.

"Shit" I muttered, quickly placing my glass on the table and turning the speaker off.

"Hey there" I said, getting up and walking into the kitchen, which was down the collider, on the right side of the living room.

"I've missed you boo! How's everything with you?" he asked.

"I missed you too. I'm good. How's everything in Paris?" I asked.

"Paris is popping! When are you coming to visit me?" he asked.

I was about to answer, when I heard the door swing open, and in comes Gabriel. My breath hitched in my throat. This was the first time we've been alone. What the hell was he doing here? And why was he looking at me like that?

"Oh... I... I guess I can visit you during my summer break" I say, while we stare at each other.

"Summer break! That's months away. Come visit me now!" he demands.
