I bid my friends goodbye and left to the airport. I was buzzing with the knowledge I had. I couldn't wait to be back to Lightport. I had messaged Mia that my arrival time and she promised to meet me at the airport.

I've missed my family.

The thought that I regarded as my family had me crying again. I was an emotional mess. And as I travelled back, I had decided that my first step to get closer to Gabriel, was to join his coven.

Mia was waiting for me the moment I arrived.

I was happy to see her. I've missed, and I realized they were a big part of my life now.

"Sage! I missed you so much!" she exclaimed and then hugged me.

"I missed you too!" I told her.

"Sophia wanted to come as well, but Mitchel gave her somethings to do" she explained as we walked back towards her car.

"It's okay, I understand. I'm just happy to be back" I told her. I was greeted by the cold weather, and it made me smile. This was home now.

"Back to Phoebe's or our place?" she asked.

"Phoebe's please" I tell her. She nodded.

"So, tell me about your weekend, did you have fun?" she asked.

"It was fun. I enjoyed it. I've missed them and was overjoyed to see them" I half lied. I did enjoy my time and I was glad I made new friends. I slowly changing the habit of keeping to myself. It felt good, after such a long time.

"You know... Gabriel grilled me with questions about your whereabouts" she said, teasing me. At the mention of his name, I felt my heart flutter and I bet she heard it which made her laugh.

"What did you tell him?" I asked, trying to ignore that she was on to me.

"Well..." she smirked and had an evil glint in her eyes.

"Mia?" I was confused with her reaction.

"I wanted to tease him a little, and get a reaction out of him, so I might have insinuated that you're there to meet a 'guy' friend" she said.

"What?" I stammered.

"Oh my god, you should've seen his face. I've never seen him so angry before. I only confirmed that he likes you. I don't why he's acting like such an asshole" she said.

A part of me liked that Mia's lie made him... jealous? But I knew that it was a long road of hardships until Gabriel came to terms to what we meant for each other.

We reached Phoebe's and I took out my suitcase.

"Hey, rest and meet us later back at the house. Everybody misses you" she said.

"Okay. See you then" I said.

Phoebe and Greg were nowhere to be seen. Maybe they were out shopping. So, I went up to my room and quickly, unpacked and went in the bathroom for a much needed shower.

I didn't sleep well the past few days and I was grateful that Gus and Melanie shared their blood bags with me. In the middle of everything they told me, I had completely forgotten about Webb 4. I didn't feel guilty though. I have been feeding on blood bags. Not humans. And right now, with everything raging on around me, I didn't trust myself to rely merely on Webb 4. I was constantly thirsty. It reminded when I first shifted. I always needed to feed. Thank god the COV has a blood bank we can subscribe to.

I needed to renew my subscription with them. I couldn't merely depend on the Hayes to share theirs. Although, after my decision, it would only be fitting that I fed with them.
