Sonic looked at Shadow. He had no idea why he had ever decided to go through with this.
"Shadow? Why are we doing this again?"
"To show our true feelings to each other. I know you're probably uncomfortable now, but you'll relax into it."
Sonic watched as Shadow removed his final piece of clothing. Sonic swallowed hard as he scanned Shadow's body. He was definitely not ready for this. Sonic scrambled backward as Shadow crawled onto the bed.
"Is something wrong?"
"God, we should not be doing this. I'm not ready and I have work tomorrow."
"C'mon Sonic. You told me you wanted to do this."
"Yeah, well, I unintentionally lied!" Shadow just smirked in reply. He pinned Sonic down.
"Shadow, please!" Sonic tried to whisper, but he corn-dogged Shadow in the groin as he panicked.
"Ow!" Shadow hissed in pain. "Dang that was hard!"
"Sorry...sorry..." Sonic apologized. Shadow leaned down and kissed Sonic. Sonic's eyes opened wide, but he eventually melted into the kiss, wrapping his arms around the ebony hedgie's neck, kissing him back.
"See?" Shadow said when the kiss ended, "I told you that you'd relax into it, but maybe a few more kisses before we get to the serious stuff?" Sonic nodded as he panted. Shadow again kissed Sonic. Soon, Shadow smirked.
"Ready Sonic?" Shadow asked.
"Yes..." Sonic replied. And with that response, the hedgehogs made love to each other all night.

Sonic softly moaned as he opened his eyes. He looked over to find Shadow gone. He then rolled over to look at the alarm clock. It read: 9:50.
9:50?! Sonic's brain screamed, I'm late for work! Sonic quickly pulled on his shoes and his gloves and darted out to the ballroom, where the other slaves were working. As Sonic fell to his knees, he quickly grabbed a sponge and started scrubbing the floor, trying to make it look like he hadn't overslept and had been with the others the whole time. Nicole looked around and moved closer to Sonic.
"Where have you been? Everyone is looking for you!" she whispered.
"I know and I'm sorry. I overslept again."
"Where did you oversleep?"
"I was in the meadow with the animals and I fell asleep I guess."
Sonic knew that absolutely no one could be trusted. The slaves usually would keep secrets but the threat to his life made Sonic keep his silence. He scrubbed the floor hard and tensed as the door to the ballroom opened.
"SONIC!" Mr. Lemon Grab's voice screamed, "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Sonic didn't answer, he just continued working. Mr. Lemon Grab grabbed him by the scruff of his neck. "Answer me." The hard glare he was giving bore into Sonic, causing him to curl halfway into a ball.
"I overslept..." came a squeak.
"You overslept?" Mr. Lemon Grab asked. Sonic fully curled into a ball and covered his ears, knowing what was coming next. "THAT. IS. UNAAAAAAAAAAAACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Sonic shrieked as Lemon Grab screamed. Then, he was taken outside the ballroom.
"No!" Sonic begged, "NICOLE! HELP ME!" Nicole stayed where she was. Sonic squeaked as the heavy door shut in his face. He turned to face Lemon Grab, fear flooding his body. He looked up and saw the leather whip in Lemon Grab's hands. He couldn't help but roll into a ball as the whip flashed across his body. Sonic screamed in agony.
In a classroom not far from the ballroom, Shadow heard a scream that was undeniably Sonic's. He bolted out of the classroom and to the bathroom. He peeked out and watched as a blue blur bolted down the corridor. Shadow slowly emerged from the bathroom as his heart broke. That blue blur had been Sonic.

Shadow wrapped Sonic's back in bandages.
"I'm sorry Sonic. I should have woken you up."
"It's fine Shadow. I'm used to it."
Shadow hugged Sonic tight.
"No. I made a promise that I wouldn't let anyone hurt you and I broke it."
"No. Shadow. Don't blame yourself. I don't want it to be a burden to you. Let's just put it behind us." Shadow kissed Sonic tenderly.
"Sonic," Shadow softly said.
"Yes Shadow?"
"Do you regret last night?"
"No."
"Would you mind if we did it again?"
Sonic blushed deeply.
"Shadow, don't you think once was enough?"
Shadow looked up to see Sonic's face. He looked a little embarrassed and nervous. Shadow held his hand.
"Sonic, we've done it once already. You don't have to be nervous."
"But Shadow, last night and right now is like the same day..."
"I understand. It's okay if you don't want to. I was hoping that it would make you feel better." Sonic looked at Shadow and thought for a moment.
"I guess it would help other than the fact that you're making me feel guilty."
"Sorry," Shadow apologized and blushed. Sonic came closer with a sexy look in his eyes.
"And then there the small matter of me loving you."
Shadow smiled as he wrapped his arms around Sonic.
"Nothing small about that."
And the two of them started with a kiss.
