Sonic was now eight months pregnant and running for his life. Everyday, Hydron and his team of cronies were getting closer and closer to catching them.
"Shadow, run!" Sonic screamed, seeing Hydron a few feet behind him. "RUN RUN RUN!" Shadow picked up his speed.
"God Sonic! Stop screaming in my ear!"
Sonic tripped. Shadow picked him up and continued running. There was no way to ge away except to keep running deeper into the forest. Soon, night fell over the forest, turning it spooky and quiet. Sonic and Shadow hid in a tree, hearing the footsteps of their oppressors run beneath them.
"Stay quiet Sonic," Shadow whispered, "We don't want the to know we're here." Sonic nodded as he held Shadow tight. He nervously swallowed, hearing the footsteps come back. The baby kicked from inside him, causing him to slightly twitch. Shadow was asleep within a couple of hours, but Sonic didn't sleep. He stayed up all night, keeping watch and making sure no one could get him or Shadow.

Shadow woke up the next morning to find Sonic gone. He panicked and looked around, finally seeing Sonic in the branches above him.
"SONIC! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU'RE GOING TO HURT YOURSELF!"
Sonic looked back.
"I was getting some fruit. Think you can help me get down from here?"
Sonic and Shadow were on the ground soon enough eating the pears from the tree. Sonic ate slowly, savoring each bite. Suddenly, Sonic's ear twitched.
"We gotta get to the next town quick!"
Shadow picked up Sonic and took him to the next town as fast as his legs would carry him.

Sonic sat in the town square, waiting for Shadow to book a hotel room for them to hid in. He rubbed his belly, their baby kicking and stretching impatiently.
"It's okay little one, Daddy will be done booking a room so we can relax soon, okay?"
"Oh yeah," Sonic heard a voice say, "Well, you ain't ever seeing 'Daddy' again!" Sonic dodged just as someone tried to pull a sack over him. He turned to see someone he hoped he'd never see again; James Denverman. Sonic didn't waste any time and bolted into the forest. He hid in the trees and hoped that James and the others would run right past him. The only problem; Sonic was so heavy that the branch he was siting on broke and dropped him right on top of Hydron! Sonic jumped up to run away, but was grabbed from behind. His arms were pulled behind him painfully and bound. He was tackled and taken to the ground, his legs getting bruised and scratched. He struggled to get away, kicking James best bud Jersey in the face as the boy tried to tie his ankles so he couldn't run away.
"NO! GO AWAY! LET ME GO!" Sonic screamed as the boys pinned him and tied his ankles. They had the strong man of the gang Crusher pick up Sonic and carry him away.
"PUT ME DOWN!" Sonic screamed. He locked eyes with Principal Hydron in a cold, hating stare.
"Take him to the old hut in the dark forest, but don't kill him until I bring Shadow." Sonic screamed as he was carried away, trying to wiggle his way out of Crusher's grip.
"LET ME GO! DON'T YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING?!"
"Yeah," Crusher answered.
"We're helping the boss get rid of you," Jersey finished.
"NO YOU'RE NOT! IF YOU KILL ME, YOU'RE GONNA KILL AN INNOCENT LIFE! SHADOW WILL REPORT YOU AND THE WHOLE ADMINISTRATION TO THE POLICE!"
"Oh, don't worry. He'll be joining you."
"NOOOOOO!"

Shadow had looked all over town for Sonic, but he was gone! Shadow sat down on the bench, but jumped when he heard a familiar voice.
"If you want to see Sonic again, you'll come with me."
Shadow turned to see Hydron.
"WHERE IS SONIC? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HIM?!"
"Please calm down. You're causing a scene."
Shadow didn't care that millions of people were staring at him, he had to save Sonic.
"I want your word that Sonic will not be harmed if I go with you."
"You have my word, if you can catch me first!"
Hydron was gone in a minute, running through the trees of the forest.
"GET BACK HERE!"
Shadow chased Hydron through the forest, clueless to what he was about to witness.

"Shadow will get here and he will save me!" Sonic screamed, just as a sack was put over his head. Sonic felt his head get pushed down. He knew that his head was on the chopping block and they would behead him with an axe. Sonic struggled to get away, until he felt he cold meal of e axe against his neck. His baby was fighting too, kicking violently. Someone was putting pressure on his back, holding him in place. Sonic knew he couldn't give up, he was so close to freedom.
Suddenly, twigs cracked. Sonic turned his head even though he couldn't see anything. Then, the bag was removed as Shadow appeared.
"Well," Principal Hydron's voice said, "I win Shadow."
"SHADOW! RUN! THEY'RE GOING TO KILL YOU!" Sonic screamed at the top of his lungs.
"SONIC!" Shadow yelled and ran forward. Sonic moved forward a bit and then, Shadow's worst nightmare came true; the axe came down on Sonic.

Hey everybody! I know it's so close t the end. I want to thank you all for reading this story so much. I didn't write any in between chapters 'cuz that wasn't important and it would have taken too long for me to have Sonic kidnapped. So anyway, what do you think has happened to Sonic and what do you think Shadow will do? Thanks for reading and keep reading: the end is sure to shock you.
