As I headed out into the hallway, Craig stepped in front of me.

"What do you want now?" I frowned.

"I wanna know what's going on with you, Casey. What happened during your ordeal with Loki? Did he do something to you?" Craig asked.

"I'd rather not talk about it right now."

I moved to walk past him.

"Casey, wait."

I stopped and sighed heavily.

"Can't you just leave me alone for even a minute?" I snapped. "You'll never get any answers if you keep pushing me."

The moment the words left my mouth, guilt twisted in my stomach.

Craig wasn't my enemy.

He was worried.

But every time someone asked what happened with Loki, I felt trapped all over again. Like I was back in that nightmare and couldn't breathe.

"I just want to help," Craig said quietly.

"I know."

"Then talk to me."

"I can't."

"Or you won't?"

Something inside me cracked.

Before I even realized what I was doing, Craig was slammed against the wall by my telekinetic force.

"Casey, don't!" he groaned, struggling against the invisible pressure. "I wasn't trying to upset you!"

"Then stop treating me like I'm hiding something!"

"I'm trying to do what a concerned boyfriend would do!"

"I'm not your girlfriend anymore. We broke up, remember?"

"That doesn't mean I stopped caring."

"Oh, you've got to be joking. Everyone knows I dumped you!"

"Casey, let him go!" Sean shouted as he rushed over.

I released Craig immediately.

Craig stumbled away from the wall, coughing.

Shame washed over me. Dad would have hated seeing me use my abilities like that. That wasn't who he'd raised me to be.

First I'd attacked Craig.

Then I'd spent half an hour thinking about Loki.

I wasn't sure which bothered me more.

Sean looked him over. "Are you hurt?"

"No," Craig snapped. "But something's obviously wrong with her."

Blood started trickling from my nose.

Sean reached into his pocket and held out a tissue. "Your nose is bleeding."

I took it. "Thanks."

Sean waited until I'd wiped away the blood.

Then he looked at Craig. "You're not helping."

"What?" Craig frowned.

"You keep asking the same questions. She keeps telling you she doesn't want to answer. The result hasn't changed."

Craig stared at him. "So I'm supposed to do nothing?"

"I'm saying your current approach isn't working."
