Slowly opening my eyes, I saw that my vision was a little blurry. Blinking a couple of times, everything was clear. As I sat up, I realized I was in a chamber, stretched across a queen-sized bed and wearing what looked like a hospital gown. The last thing I remembered was the Bifrost and getting knocked off course.

"Oh, good. You're awake," Loki sighed in relief as he approached my side.

"What happened? Where are we?" I wondered, still feeling confused. "How long was I out?"

"The Bifrost brought us here a week ago. We're on a planet called Sakaar. You were unconscious since arrival."

"What?"

"Time flies differently here than anywhere else."

Nothing was making any sense. I felt a minor migraine coming on. "Where's Thor? Is he alright?" I pinched the roof of my sinus.

"I haven't seen him," Loki answered.

I sighed. "Whatever this place is, we need to find a way outta here." I carefully hoisted myself off the bed. Ever since my transformation into an Asgardian, I have discovered that I recover super quickly and can shake off minor ailments than any human.

"I'm afraid that no one ever leaves this place, Casey," Loki informed me. "Anyone who arrives here remains here."

"You know I don't just give up right away whenever there's a hard obstacle," I stated, taking note of a window, and saw the view was massive, tall buildings, and at a distance, which made me think of a giant garbage dump, and multiple wormholes in the sky that dropped random odds and ends. One of those wormholes was bound to get us back to Asgard and stop Hela from wreaking havoc. I hoped Freyja and Agnar were okay, along with the countless other Aesir.

"Now that you've recovered, the Grandmaster will want to meet you," Loki stated.

"Who? Is he a DJ or something?" I wondered if we had landed on some nightclub or a party planet.

"He's the ruler of this planet. I've been able to gain his favor while you were dormant."

It was obvious Loki had charmed his way in. It was probably the only way to navigate the odd planet to find a way off it.

There was a small green flash near my left hand.

"What the frak?" I stared down at my finger.

A gold ring sat on my left ring finger. Set into it was a small green gemstone that looked like an emerald. The design was oddly familiar. The metal curved upward into tiny horns that resembled Loki's helmet.

My stomach dropped.

I held up my hand and turned toward him.

"Loki."

He rubbed the back of his neck, which was never a good sign.

"What is this?"

His expression immediately became sheepish.

"I told the Grandmaster that you were my wife."

I blinked.

Once.

Twice.

"My what?"

"My wife," he repeated.

I stared at him in utter disbelief. "You told the ruler of an entire planet that we're married?"

"It was the quickest solution available."

"The quickest solution?" I echoed. "You couldn't have said I was your cousin? Your bodyguard? Your assistant? A random stranger you found unconscious in a ditch?"
