"i am so sorry about that, i hope you don't mind me interrupting. i just know what she's like." the blonde explained to evangeline, their arms still tightly linked.
"no-no, not at all. i'm really grateful you did that. first day of school and i'm off to a great start" evangeline replied sarcastically.
"don't mind gretta. she's just peeved cause all the guys are gonna think you're real cute" her mystery saviour giggled.
"oh, i don't know about that. i haven't had any experience talking to boys, besides my brother and the few at church. i'm not exactly worldly" evangeline lied. she'd had plenty of experience 'talking' to boys.

the girls walked in silence until they reached a big wooden door with a glass panel in the middle of it.
"oh my gosh, where are my manners? i'm cissy clark, your new school friend!" she chirped, holding out a hand.
"nice to meet you cissy. i-i'm evangeline kasp-"
"kaspbrak, yeah, the whole school's been abuzz about your arrival!" cissy shook evangeline's petite hand.
"oh gosh, that sounds quite daunting" evangeline tucked her hair behind hear ear and looked up at cissy from behind her eyelashes.
"don't worry about it girlfriend, you've got my crew to help you along. sit with us at lunch?" the blonde asked.
"s-sure. i mean, yes please. i'd like that very much" evangeline thanked her. cissy smiled and finally opened the door, ushering evangeline in first and then closing it behind her.

"and you must be evangeline kaspbrak?" the teacher asked. evangeline immediately noted the newly formed wrinkles and middle aged spread the woman was currently suffering from. she kept her thoughts inside however, and smiled politely at the teacher.
"that's me" she nodded.
"i'm mrs douglas, i'll be your homeroom teacher for the year. please, take a seat!" she motioned towards the desks littering the classroom. evangeline slowly walked towards the desks, her face scanning all of the pubescent, greasy brats she'd be stuck with for the next year, searching for signs of weakness, vulnerability, and easily accessible arteries.

her eyes landed on the shady spot in the room, two desks pushed unusually close to the corner. sat atop them were two teenage boys. one clad with a hideous mullet and an equally hideous red muscle tee, carving something into the desk with a knife as his throat let out an ugly chuckle.

the other was built like a goddamn toothpick. a nest of messy black hair sat atop his oily face. his matchstick body was covered by clothing evangeline guessed to be a slim fit, but somehow he still managed to make them look like sheets off a king bed. none of this captured the brunette's attention, until she locked eyes with the skeletal boy. she couldn't detect an ounce of emotion. of empathy, of anything. just pure boredom, maybe a hint of desire, but the way his eyes bore holes into her pupils was enough to send shivers down her spine. it instantly filled her sadistic brain with images of her straddled on top of him, faces smeared in blood, their entrails entangled together with mucus and saliva, screams of pleasure filling her ears as she gasps to remove herself from her fantasy before she can't control herself.

she immediately breaks eye contact with the enigmatic boy, sitting two rows in front of him and his oblivious friend. evangeline pondered how deeply the other party really perceived the exchange, but was too strung up in her sudden and highly-rare flood of desire. this was the closest thing the girl had, and will ever feel to real emotions, meaning this craving would drive her to the most extreme lengths to get what she wanted.

evangeline now had her long game. take that lanky son of a bitch, take everything he has, chew him up and spit him out in every fathomable way until he is nothing but a hollow shell, just like her.
