Chapter 23: Believe

Jennifer's POV

"They have turned purple." He says. Purple? How can my eyes turn purple? Harry has purple eyes, is it because I'm his mate? Is it because he has marked me? No, if that was the reason my eyes would change their color way back when he first marked me.

"How?" I mutter under my breath. "How is this even possible!?"

"Jen, I think your wolf is fighting to take charge. My father told me something a long time ago, s- something about you." He says. He looks at me with his eyes full of fear. "You're the chosen one, Jenny."

"The chosen one? What even are you talking about?" Before he could open his mouth to say something, we hear footsteps coming towards our cell.

"They're here for me." He says sighing. "You have to destroy the Crystal,  Jen. You're way more stronger than you think you are! Believe in yourself. Believe in the spirit inside. Believe-" before he could complete his sentence the cell door opens with a loud thud.

Two huge men with scars and wounds all over their body step inside and look at the both of us with disgust. One of them takes a step forward and spits in Noah's direction

"Traitor." He says.

"I know you're here for me. Just take me with you." Noah says huffing and tries to stand up. Suddenly the man slaps Noah and pushes him down.

"Oh no, we’re here for the pretty one." He says eyeing me up.

"Wait what!? No, you can't take her! Take me instead! " Noah protests. "Why do you want me?" I cut in between Noah's protests.

"That's a secret, Princess." The man says touching my cheek. I flinch at his touch and all they do is laugh.

Both of them break the chains my hands and legs were tied in and hold my arms behind my back. They put a black cloth over my head which covers my face so that I can't see the way.

Believe in yourself

They push me through out the way, tightening their grip on my arms.

Believe in the spirit inside

"Here we are." They say and lift the cover from over my head.

"Jennifer!?" I hear a familiar voice. I turn around almost immediately at the voice.

"Nora!" I breathe out.

Nora starts running towards me but then quickly stops. Her hands touch something in front of her that's when we realise that we are separated by a glass wall. She punches the wall and pushes it but not even a scratch appears on it. "LET ME IN, YOU ASSHOLE!" she screams.

"I don't think so." I hear another voice say. Xavier. "How have you been, sweetheart?" Xavier says kissing my forehead. He turns to face Nora and questions, "Why are you here?" He asks her calmly.

"I'm here to tell you that there's going to be a big ass war here and we're going to kill every last one of you, Xavier. You will regret abducting our Luna!" She finishes.

"Oh, so you're here to declare war. Hmm.. interesting." He says. "Bring me my stick" He commands.

A small dwarf like boy comes running with a fat stick in his hand. "You work better than my son ever could." Xavier says patting the boy's head.

"So... war, huh?" He says before hitting me with the stick on my back. Taken back by the sudden hit, only a gasp leaves my mouth.

"Xavier, stop it!" Nora yells from behind the glass wall.

Another hit and another and it keeps going on until I fall on my knees. After a few more hits, he stops.

"Go, child. Run to your Alpha, tell him the war is on." Xavier says before throwing the stick on the floor beside me, making me flinch and walks away.

I close my eyes and shut out all the other voices around me. I take deep breaths and try not to concentrate on the pain.

Believe. 

I open my eyes and see Nora one her knee, punching the wall, screaming something. But I couldn't hear her. I couldn't hear anyone or anything. Suddenly, I hear a faint voice.
Do you believe in me?  The voice asks.

I open my mouth but no sound comes out.

Do you, Jennifer?  The voice asks again. I nod my head in response.

You will destroy the Crystal. You will set me free. You're the Golden Wolf , the mightiest of all.

Can I trust you, Jennifer?  I nod my head in response.
War is on its way, take some rest till then... It's going to be tiring. And then the voice stops. Everything around me becomes normal again. I hear Nora scream and Xavier's men laugh.

"Go." I say. "Nora, Leave!"

"I can't go leaving you like this!" She almost cries.

"Harry needs you, Nora. Leave."

"I can't. I just can't." She says punching the wall again.

"I need you to tell Harry that I love him, Nora. Please. Leave before its too late." This makes her stop.

"I will, Jenny. We'll be back to take you. Stay strong." She says and leaves.

I lay there on the floor thinking about Harry and how much I love him.
