My Shallow Heart

Chapter 1- A day of sorrow

     "That's it, I'm gonna confess my love to my crush today... I hope he likes me back..." She'd sigh in happiness. She would stare in the mirror for a few seconds then squeal as she left the room. " SAGE GET YOUR BOOTY DOWN HERE THE BUS IS COMING!," someone would yell from downstairs. "COMING MOM!," Sage would yell back. She would run downstairs and grab all of her things for school. Then she would head out and get on the bus.

     Sage would sit down next to her best friend Tasha. "Sooooooo Sage are you gonna do it today!" Tasha would say in excitement. " Yeah, I am so EXCITED!!," Sage silently screamed. "Eeeek I can't believe you are FINALLY doing it!" Tasha would say to Sage. Soon enough the bus driver would stop and more students would get on the bus. That is when Sage and Tasha stayed quiet. After everyone was on the bus she would notice that her crush's seat was right behind theirs and blush. She signaled Tasha that he was behind them and Tasha would nod. After that, they would start up a random conversation.

     When they finally arrived at school Tasha and Sage headed straight for their homeroom to chat about how she was gonna confess. "Soooooo~ how are you gonna confess to him," Tasha would say enthusiastically. Sage would reply with, "Well since today IS FRIDAY... I was thinking of maybe confessing to him under the cherry tree after school". Their conversation would carry on until class started.

{After Boring Class}

     Sage and Tasha would leave the classroom and head to their lockers. "So Sage is that the note you are gonna put in his locker?", Tasha would ask in curiosity. "Well yes, it is...Does it sound good?" Sage would ask nervously. Tasha would read over it and nod. Sage would sigh in relief. "Thank god it doesn't sound weird...," she would say. Sage would walk to her crushes locker and slip the note through the little slits in the locker. After she would walk away casually as if she had never stopped walking.

{Later that day}

    Sage would slump down in her chair worried about how the confession would roll out. She kept practicing in her head trying to find the right way, but every time she practiced she would think that it was wrong and try to fix it. Next thing she knew the bell rang. She was scared she continued to think, "HOW AM I GONNA TELL HIM!" She would feel scared but she knew she had to go to the tree before he got there. So she ran out of the school to the tree waiting for her crush to walk up to the tree.

     A few minutes of waiting later she heard his voice and flinched. She came out of where she was hiding and looked him in the eyes. "H...Hi Domonic....." Sage would say while stuttering. Domonic would look at Sage and reply "So you are the one who left me that note?". Sage would nod slowly. "I...I wanted to t...tell you...something" Sage said. Domonic would look at her and wait for what she had to say. "I...I...," she'd stutter. Dominic looked at her in confusion. "I LIKE YOU!" she'd quietly yell and look away embarrassed. Dominic looked at her astonished but after a while he would smile. "I like you too," he'd say with an innocent look in his eyes. Sage was so happy that she jumped in the air then hugged Dominic tightly.

Present time...
     "I can't wait to see  Dominic again!" Sage would squeal. Tasha looked at her with a sad expression. She knew something Sage didn't. Sage and Tasha walked down the hallway but suddenly stopped after hearing a noise. "What was that?," Sage would say curiously. Tasha would just shrug. Sage would edge near the weird noise. "It sounds like a girl..." Sage said quietly. Sage's curiosity grew and she opened the door the noise was behind and gasped. Tears begged to fall from her eyes. For what she had seen was Dominic kissing another girl...
