I have finally finished packing all of my clothes and belongings into my bags. I have not left anything behind, literally. It really does feel like I'm packing for university a little early but of course I'm only 17 so I've still got 2 years to wait.

I cant believe im leaving my house. I've lived here all my life, so many incredible memories and haunting incidents have happened in this house, and to leave pulls a splinter at my heart. I slowly walked through the hallway making sure to absorb every detail so that i wouldn't forget a single thing. I stood in front of my mothers bedroom and paused before silently opening the door and walking inside. Her clothes were still in the cupboards and draws, and her frames and pictures were still hanging on the wall. Nothing has changed and it looks as if she were here just yesterday. If only that were true. Suddenly, i heard the doorbell ring and i hastily placed the picture of my mother and i, that i was observing, back on the vanity and rushed downstairs.

I opened the door to find the one and only Kieran standing besides my friends Eva, Charlie, Freddie and April. "Hey." i said quietly. I ushered them inside to the kitchen and handed them some juice and food for breakfast. We all sat silently eating until Charlie decided to break the silence, "Alright, this is probably going to be the last time we see you so we shouldn't be moping around, sad and all that. Let's just enjoy it while we can." He said with a smile."Yeah you're right," April replied, "Come on why don't we mention our best memories together. Ill go first! Remember that time we all snuck out in the middle of the night to go to Freddie's party and we all got so hammered and ended up just sleeping there. Oh! and we cant forget the fact that Charlie was walking around half-naked the whole night with a dick drawn on his face." We all smiled remembering that day while Charlie said, "Hey its not my fault that when i decided to take a small nap that someone found that marker okay! So lets just forget about that and move on."

We continued telling our memorable stories, trying to procrastinate the fact that i was leaving. "Hey uh Evelyn, come upstairs with me." Kieran told me as the others kept on chatting. We headed upstairs into my room and sat on my bed. "You know what you have to do right?" Kieran asked. "Yes yes, i should get as close to the hospital as i can so that i can get blood bags for my diet. How could i forget?" i replied sarcastically. "I'm just checking, remember you have to be careful, no one can find out what you are, because once someone finds out that's it, your secrets out.". "Oh god you're making it sound so dramatic, ill be fine." "You've only been a vampire for 6 months Evelyn! I have a right to be worried." He said.

After i had got turned into a vampire, Kieran was the one who found me and told me what i was, i didn't believe him at first but then the hunger took over me and i knew that it was true. My first instinct was that i was beyond hungry, i felt like my throat was burning and clogging up, i could hear heartbeats from a mile away and couldn't stop imagining me ripping their throats and drinking them until they dried up, and my second instinct was that i was horrified, Not because i was a vampire (although that was partly the reason), it was because i had such a horrific and murderous thought go through my mind, i started to freak out and Kieren was the one who helped me calm down. He told me that he was a vampire too and that he would help me. He's technically a year older than me but in reality he's 126.

I brought my bags downstairs with the help of the others, and then we patiently waited until my Aunt Venice would come and pick me up to take me to the airport. It was currently 12pm and she said she'd be here by 12:15 as my flight was at 1:30.

She finally arrived, and the moment that we dreaded had finally come upon us. In turn they came and hugged me and told me their goodbyes. "Good luck over there Evelyn, don't get into too much trouble hey." Charlie said. Eva then rushed to hug me once again with tears in her eyes. "I'm going to miss you so much, have fun okay and make sure to call me everyday to catch me up. Don't forget me" She whispered into my ear. "How could i ever forget my best friend Eva." I replied, swallowing the tears that were threatening to come out.

I got into the car, and silently waved at all of them, giving Kieran a look of recognition. My aunt started the car and i kept looking back, looking back at the life i once had. The life that was now just a memory.
