Happy Holidays - Brian

Life has been pretty stressful in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Work has been so chaotic and family drama has been running me down. It seems like the only good thing in my life right now is my husband-to-be Brian.

"Love what's up?" Brian asked as I walked into the house after a day of battling with my co-workers

"Life sucks right now" I sighed as I propped myself next to him on the sofa. Brian pushes me down so my head was resting on his lap and the rest of my body was curled into a ball. He put a comforting hand on my hip and grazed his thumb over the knitted fabric I was wearing

"Love you" he whispered

"I love you too" I said before my emotions finally overwhelmed me and I ended up in a sobbing mess. Brian was quick to pull me up so I was sat on him as he cradled me. My face was buried in his neck as I cried it all out. Brian was mumbling sweet nothings as he rocked me ever so slightly.

"I've had an idea" Brian kissed my forehead

"Oh dear" I said in a shaky voice. His ideas in the past haven't always been the greatest

"No, you'll like this one" He put his forehead to mine as we starred lovingly into each other's eyes

"What is it?" I raised an eyebrow in question

"We are going to spend the rest of Christmas on holiday but I have one condition" Brian put one finger up then used it to bop me on the end of my nose

"Name your terms" I smiled weakly

"Quit your job" Brian said cooly

"No Bri, I don't want to depend on you for money" I shook my head

"Nonsense!" He insisted, "I make enough for the both of us. Queen has really taken off and nothing is going to stop me and the boys now. I feel like we've made it big! And for as long as I love you - which is forever by the way - I'm going to keep on playing my music and we are going to keep on being successful" Brian had passion in his tone

"I believe you, I really do" I put my hand in his curly hair

"Then bet on me. Let's do this, for the both of us. Trust me?" Brian begged

"Alright. I'll ring up work tomorrow" I smiled and Brian mirrored my facial expression

"But you'll be on a plane tomorrow" Brian giggled

"So soon?" I was shocked

"Yeah, you need to get away from this place for a bit. We're going to the Swiss mountains where it's all snowy and cold" Brian held my hand

"It sounds beautiful" I tried to imagine the place in my head

"It really is" Brian sighed in content

The next day I phoned my workplace as I sat on the plane. They didn't even seem bothered that I was leaving. To be honest I was thrilled to quit, that place has given me nothing but hell.

The mountain resort was incredible. We even went out skiing yesterday! Of course Brian was a natural at it but I kept falling on my butt. That's why we decided that today we won't be going down the mountain. Today is for relaxation. There isn't many 'calm' activities up here in the mountains, so me and Brian agreed on spending the day in our log cabin just cozying up.

"Good morning" Brian's morning voice spoke out

"Morning babe" I cuddled up closer to him

"Are you enjoying your winter holiday?" Brian questioned

"So much. Thank you" I kissed his cheek

"It's no problem. I'm just glad you're loving it. Even if you can't ski for your life" Brian chuckled

"Hey!" I gave him a playful smack

"Just consider this as your Christmas present. I love you" Brian rolled over and kissed me on the lips, slightly hovering over me

"I. Love. You. Too" I said between kisses

"Look, it's snowing!" Brian squealed like a child

"It's beautiful" I gasped

"You're beautiful" Brian smirked

"You're such a romantic" I rolled my eyes

"I try" He grinned
