Minutes had passed since I had first started hugging Rayna. And we were still embracing. She smelt nice. Like fresh mangos. I had never noticed that before, we had hugged many of times but they had never felt like this. The hug itself warmed my body and made me light headed. She then put her hands against my chest. She pushed me away. She looked at me with wide eyes, her head leaned to the side like a confused puppy.
"I.." she started, trailed off, and then began looking off in the distance.
"Ray-fish?" I sounded like a child pleading for their mother. "Is something wrong?"
"Yes." She said she was now making the puppy dog face. I had never looked at her like I was. She was beautiful. But not the type of beautiful that would make your jaw drop, but the kind of beautiful that made your heart do flips in your chest.
"What?" I stuttered out.
"You are my best friend and you don't like me. So I don't know why but I felt something weird when we were hugging."
"So you felt it too?" a smirk had found its way onto my once saddened face.
"You felt it?" She looked almost sad. When she talked.
"Yeah." And then for some reason our lips collided creating not a spark but a fire. And that was only the beginning.
