The next day she was all I thought about. When I woke up I couldn't stop smiling. I made some coffee and eggs and I was out the door. I was supposed to pick up Rayna so we could go shopping, for her some new clothes. It was our first date and even though it was a formal date I still bought her flowers.
I knocked on her door my heart was pounding against my chest. She opens the door and the aroma of vanilla hit my nose.
"Hi handsome." she said and then hugged me. Then taking the flowers and my hand inside. She let my hand so where I was standing in the middle of the kitchen. She then put the flowers in a vase. Lastly she grabbed her purse and we were out the door. We went in her car and she wanted to drive. I love how independent she is.
She was a terrible driver swerving inbetween cars making us come close to death tons of times. I finally told her to pull over and I began to drive.
She put her feet up on the dash, turned the music up high, and started to sing at the top of her lungs. It sounded wretched but I loved every minute of it. I couldn't help but strafe at her and then once in a while she would catch me, she would smile and then keep on singing.
"So mall first?" I asked, but she looked at me looking disappointed. "What?"
"Bookstore please!" She shouted and pointed her finger forward. I giggled and then drove to 'Half Pice Books'.
When we got there I got out and opened her door then she set off in a dead sprint towards the bookstore. I laughed as I saw her.
Once I got inside she already has three books in her hands, Just One Day, If I Stay, and Before I Fall. She sees me and then races over too me.
"So.." She begins and then looks at me with pleasing eyes.
"Go on to the cash register." I sigh. I walk over an take out my wallet. Good news is that these are half priced books.
We are walking back to the car when she says, "Thank you for the books Ky. But Food?"
"Chick-fila?"
"YES!" She screams, jumps up, and then wraps her arms around my neck. I then pick her up and we are kissing, in the middle of the parking lot. I'm spinning her in circles as we kiss. And then I get dizzy and fall. We are both laying on the ground when I realize that we used to be strictly friends.
"Isn't this easy." She whispers gasping for air.
"Funny, how easy this is. We should of thought of this couple thing a lot sooner." I laugh. But she stays serious looking in my eyes. Then I find us kissing again. My hands tugging the hems of her shit and her sweaty hands tugging at my hair. We are still laying in the middle of the parking lot as we kiss. Then someone honks their car horn and we are forced to get up.
Rayna and I stumble into the car and then our eyes meet again followed by our lips. "Are we ever going to be able to stop?" I whisper.
"Why stop?" She whispers back. I am kissing behind her ear and she is giggling. Then all of a sudden we stop. It's an abrupt stop and then we leave the parking lot. Without another word.
