"This is Randolph Road, right here." Lucas said, pointing to the stick diagram of Hawkins on the ground, us surrounding around it. "The fence starts here, and goes all the way around. And this is the lab right here. The gate's gotta be in there somewhere. It's gotta be."

"Well, who own Hawkins Lab?" Dustin asked.

"The sign says 'Department of Energy.'"

"Department of Energy? What do you think that means?"

"It means government. Military." Mike replied.

"Then why does it say energy?"

"Just trust me, all right? It's military. My dad's told me before."

"Mike's right. There's soldiers out front." Lucas said.

"Do they make, like, lightbulbs or something?" Dustin asked.

"No, weapons... to fight the Russians, and commies and stuff." Mike said.

"Weapons." Lucas repeated.

"Oh, Jesus, this is bad," Dustin said.

"No, shit, this is really bad." I said.

"Really bad. The place is like a fortress."

"Well, what do we do?"

"I don't know, but we can't go home. We're fugitives now."

Then we suddenly heard a helicopter flying near us, and we all looked at it.

"G-guys?" Dustin said. "Do you hear that?"

We saw the helicopter flying near us, and my heart started pounding in my chest.

We all zoomed to our bikes and shoved them under an abandoned bus 10 yards away.

"Go, go, go, go!"

"Come on, come on! It's stuck!"

"Let's go, let's go, let's go!"

"Hurry up! Hurry, come on!"

"Com on!"

"Go, go, go, go, go, go!"

We then all piled into the bus, under the seats, and especially under the windows.

"Mental," Dustin gasped.

-

We were all just sitting in silence when Mike's supercomm start crackling.

"Mike, are you there? Mike?" The voice was Nancy's.

"You guys hear that?"

"Mike, it's me, Nancy." Mike ran to his backpack and snagged his supercomm. "Mike, are you there? Answer. Mike, we need you to answer."

"Is that your sister?" Lucas asked.

"This is an emergency, Mike. Do you copy? Mike, do you copy?"

"Okay, this is really weird."

Lucas snagged the radio. "Don't answer!" Mike said.

"She said it was an emergency!"

"What if it's a trick?"

"It's your sister!"

"What if the bad people kidnapped her? What if they're forcing her to say this?"

"I need you to answer."

"It's like Lando Calrissian!" Dustin said. "Don't answer!"

"We need to know that you're there, Mike."
