"Alexis!" I searched around looking for her. She came around the corner with pink roses and balloon.
"I wanted to surprise you but looks like the surprise is on me."
"I guess so."
"Well I decided to get you something, it's not much but it's just the thought."
"You didn't have to."
"I wanted to."
"You didn't have to."
" well I did, I love you Alecia and I just wanna give you everything you deserve. You won't ever have to want, I got you forever."
She kissed me immediately sweeping me off my feet. She put me down handing me a box, I opened it seeing keys. I looked outside my hands went to my mouth, the chick bought me my own car. I vow not to fuck up with her, I'd never forgive myself.
"What you think baby." She held me by my waist.
"I love you."

So many memories came back by just looking at her. I hate that I hurt her especially knowing now that she's the one been taking care of my daughter. I had to get back to her, I missed her so much and I know that she had to miss me too. I was now going up to spend the night with Kylie and Alexis, hopefully she'll talk to me. I walked in seeing Alexis at the front desk, I decided to talk to her.
"Hey uh Alexis."
"Dr.James, my friends only call me Alexis."
"Alexis come on, you remember me. You have to."
"All I have to do is live and die. Remembering is not on the list today." She got up grabbing her stuff going to a room , I decided to take a good look at her. When we were together she was small, but now she filled out in all the right places. She looked amazing, breathtaking, and jaw dropping.
"You look good by the way." She didn't say nothing, she stopped to her office and I walked in behind her.
"You're in an unauthorized area, you should leave." I sat in the chair that was in front of her, looking at her avoid my gaze.
"Alexis you may fool others but you can't fool me."
"What do you want Alecia." She turned around breathing out as if she was annoyed or aggravated with me. I don't care I just needed to speak to her, apologize, try to be her friend.
"To say sorry, Thank you."
"You're not forgiven and you're welcome."She got up, I grabbed her arm. The look in her eyes put fear in me, the same fear that was placed 6 years ago. But this wasn't the time to back down, I just couldn't.
"Alecia, I'd let go if I had the common sense I was born with."
"I guess Ian got none then. Alexis just listen to me please, I'm sorry. I never meant for all that to go down, I never meant to hurt you. I loved you Alexis."
"Tell it to someone who believes you, cause it isn't me." She snatched away, and we went to Kylie's room.
"Alexis" Kylie's eyes lit up
"Hey my favorite girl, I gotcha some snacks."
"Awesome."Kylie sat up while Alexis sat beside her.
"Well forget me then."
"Oh hey mommy." She waved at me turning her full attention on Alexis.
"Alexis you married?"
"No pretty girl I'm not, are you?" They laughed
"No silly, I'm not old enough."
"Oh man I didn't notice."
"Mommy, who was your first love?" Alexis and I locked eyes, then she looked away.
"My first love baby, she was beautiful and still is. I miss her everyday, I can still feel her presence, her touch, I can still feel all of her."
"What happened?" Kylie asked stuffing chips in her mouth. Alexis was doing the same while in her phone.
"I messed up and she left me. I regret it everyday, she was and still is the love of my life the only one I can see myself with. I love her." I looked directly at her, she made the mistake of looking back at me.
"Why don't you tell her how you feel Ma. You've never held back, especially with uncle Randy. So why hold back now?" She was right
"Cause She might not listen." Our eyes met again this time for a little longer. I was determined to win her back, I just had to.
"Dr. James to ICU, Dr. James to ICU."
"I gotta go beautiful, if I don't make it back I'll see you first thing in the morning." Alexis kissed her forehead getting up
"Ok, Go be the great doctor you are Alexis." Kylie said while she jogged out the door
"You got it!"
"Wanna know a secret Kylie."
"Of course."
"Dr. James."
"You like her?"
"She was my first love."

"Mr. Will you have do right, if you want to get out of here."
"Dr.James just let me go I can do just fine on my own."
"No sir, now come on do right for me." I smiled and he smiled at me
"Fine, only for you. When I get out of here, I'm taking you out."
"I hear you Mr.Will. I'll check on you later ok."
"Ok." I walked out before hearing him say something
"Damn she's fine." I just shook my head and continued down the hall.
"James." My coworker called me to her desk
"Yea, Lana right?"
"Yea, I just wanted to say you're an excellent doctor. I just don't see how you keep up, with all the quick calls. I admire you honestly cause I would've gave out years ago."
"Well thank you love. Sitting behind that desk gotta be tiring." I pulled up a chair and sat beside her. She was really gorgeous, had her hair cut in sorta a bob. It looked good, she looked good.
"It is sometimes, the paper cuts are countless." We laughed
"I believe it." I sat with her a little longer before it was time for me to clock out. I went back to Kylie's room to see her up and alert, eating breakfast. Her mom Well Alecia was still sleep. Every time I look at her I get pissed. I feel like I've wasted half my life on her. I don't care how hard she try, I refuse to go back to her.
"GoodMorning Sunshine."
"GoodMorning Alexis." I check her making sure everything was good
"Well you leave Monday, are you ready?"
"I am but I'm gonna miss you."
"I'm gonna miss you too lil warrior."
"Will you come and see me?"
"Of course." She smiled at me
"Alexis can I ask you something?"
"Absolutely, wassup."
"Me and my mom were talking last night, she was telling me that her first love is you. Is that true?"
