Moon Landing

As I begin the new year at MIT, all of my courses have started with orientations and introductions of the curriculums. But Astronomy's orientation stuck out to me the most, and that was mostly because it wasn't really an orientation at all. Once the bell rang to signal the start of the class, the professor turned on a projector in the back of the room and we watched an hour long video about the importance of astronomy and its research. It talked a lot about humanities need to reach for the stars, and the steps that we've taken in the past to get to where we are now. One point it touched upon was our very own moon landing. It was decades ago, but it still remains one of our greatest achievements. Our first manned-mission off-world...
