That she was finally back. 10 years, with the way that time dilation works. It had been 10 years since she last felt the firmament under her feet. She rose to her knees and let her back arch slightly, allowing her head to point upwards. She kept her eyes closed and let the mid-morning light wash her with its yellowy glow. Loose strands at the edges of her forehead near her temples, too long to be called bangs, yet short enough to resist capture by her hair tie, played back and forth, from her cheeks to her ears, in a light breeze.
