The redhead turned back to the table and collected her papers, she turned around again to find Diane glaring at her, she looked at the brunette with a sigh, "Do you need anything else Mrs. Topaz?"

"No, thank you," Toni said gently,

The redhead nodded, "Excuse me," She said making her way out of the conference room.

Diane stood in front of her wife and crossed her arms over her chest. Toni didn't bother to look up at her wife instead she was looking at some papers when she spoke, "How do you dare and enter the conference room in that way?"

"How would you like me to enter? Should I have taken an appointment? Or tell Jane that I'm coming?"

The brunette looked at her with an annoyed look.

"I wanted to tell you something," Diane said lying, she only came to see if Toni and Cheryl were doing something wrong.

"What is it?"

"I forgot," She said lying again. "What do you think about John coming back?"

"It doesn't matter,"

"What do you mean?"

Toni sighed, "You'll understand soon enough," She said leaving the conference room.

The redhead entered her office and closed the door quickly, breathing fast. She couldn't believe that Diane almost caught them. She grabbed her bag and left the office. She drove her car, trying to clear her mind. Her phone rang. Toni Topaz was calling,

"Toni," Cheryl said in a low voice.

"What's wrong? Why did you leave?"

"I couldn't stay, she could have seen us."

"Cheryl, I don't want you to be scared. I don't care about anyone or anything but you. I don't want you to leave this way again without seeing me. Okay?"

"Okay," She said softly,

"We'll talk tomorrow over lunch, just text me or call me when you can at home."

"B-But,-"

"No buts Cher, I got to go, please drive safe."

After her phone call, Veronica entered her sister's office with a sigh, "Where were you this morning?" The tall brunette asked.

"Why are you asking?" Toni said with a smile.

"Your wife lost you this morning, she came asking for you."

"I'm not a kid,"

The raven haired girl sighed, "I don't mean it that way, just tell me before you go out where are you so that I can come up with a lie. I was the one who accidentally told Diane that you weren't in the office."

"I don't care if she knew I was out of work,"

"You were with Cheryl this morning weren't you?" Veronica asked with a smirk.

"No!" Toni shook her head.

"Don't lie, I called Cheryl's office and she wasn't there,"

"You heard her in the meeting, she had a thing at her kid's school."

"I heard her, but she was lying, because she looked nervous, and your wife isn't stupid, she noticed it also. Didn't you notice how tense it was in there? Diane was angry and Cheryl was nervous. Tiny look, Diane isn't stupid, she'll make Cheryl's life a living hell, till she reaches the point she makes you choose between her and Cheryl."
