——————-A year.
That's how long it took Toni and Cheryl to make it to their wedding day. A whole year of planning and the day has come where The couple will be united together. Throughout the year, the Topaz-Blossom Family had been through a lot. Toni's book, The Lives We Live, has been published and was gaining a huge success, she had been on many interviews and talk shows, and she always thanked the redhead and her family for helping her reach her dream of writing. As for Cheryl, she had been busy with the children's lives and taking care of them.
The day had come where Toni and Cheryl were separated for their wedding night. Even though Toni was against the idea, Cheryl insisted on sticking to traditions. So there she was in Veronica's apartment with Betty and Clair while Vee was with her sister. They were having both dinner and a glass of wine as they engaged in mindless conversations.
"Are you nervous?" Betty asked as she took a sip of her wine.
The redhead sighed dreamily. "Kind of, but nothing I can't handle. It's just that I feel like I am in a dream."
"Believe me, it isn't a dream," Clair said smiling softly. "Just a year ago, you were so torn about your feelings to her, and now you are going to marry her."
"I know, and I gained two amazing kids through it all." The IT manager said with a megawatt smile.
"Did you inform the kids about tomorrow's news?" Clair asked in excitement.
Cheryl shook her head. "Nope, Toni and I decided to keep it as a surprise." Just then, her phone vibrated. It was a message from her soon to be wife. She grinned as she opened it.
[From My Life] It seems like I can't sleep without you in my arms. I can't wait for us to be together tomorrow.
[To My Life] I miss you so much, but it's only a couple of hours till we become as one.
[From My Life] I want to see you.
[To My Life] It's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding. Isn't this why we decided to sleep this night apart?
[From My Life] YOU decided, don't include me in it. Go and stand beside Vee's window.
Cheryl placed the glass on the table and ran to the raven haired girl's window, Betty and Clair looked at each other and giggled with a shake of their heads. "She's crazy."
The redhead slowly opened the curtain and smiled when she saw Toni in a hoodie and sweatpants and leaning against the hood of her car. The brunette lifted her gaze to the window and was met with the eyes she fell in love with since the first time she saw them. She smiled and blew a kiss to Cheryl and dialed her fiance's number.
"I missed you, and I couldn't wait until tomorrow," Toni said through the phone as soon as Cheryl answered.
"You are one crazy woman," The redhead replied with a giggle.
"I can't wait, Cher, I just can't wait till tomorrow."
"Sweety, it's only a couple of hours,"
"Let's get married tonight."
The redhead laughed, "You can't be serious TT,"
"I am, come on Cher,"
"Baby, stop it," She said with a laugh. "How about you go back home and sleep? You will need your rest."
"Fuck it, I'm coming up," Toni said hanging up and running to the house door. Cheryl's eyes went wide and ran back to the living room. "GUYS! Toni's coming up!"
