"Cheryl," The newspaper owner said softly, catching the redhead's attention. She walked over to the redhead, "Where are you going?"
"I-I changed my mind," She replied nervously.
"But you came, that's the first step. And it's always the first step we do right," She said softly as she laced her hand with the redhead's, "Come on, I made breakfast." She said but Cheryl didn't move, Toni could see that Cheryl's eyes held fear. "We won't do anything you aren't ready to do. Don't be scared."
The IT manager gave her a smile, "I'm not scared, let's go," She said allowing herself to be pulled back into the house with Toni.
"Allow me to take your purse and jacket," Toni said politely, Cheryl nodded and took off her jacket and passed it to the newspaper owner.
The newspaper owner hanged the jacket and placed the purse on the table, she then looked at the redhead to find her still in the same place. "Are you afraid of me?"
The redhead shook her head, "I'm afraid of myself," She said as she got closer to Toni and wrapped her arms around her, nuzzling her face into the crook of the brunette's neck. "I missed you," She whispered softly as she inhaled Toni's scent.
The brunette wrapped her arms around Cheryl's waist, "I missed you too, so much. I'm really happy you came."
"I went to the office, I didn't find your car there, I couldn't bring myself to go there without you in your office, I think nothing is nice without you," Cheryl said as she looked into Toni's stormy brown eyes, unhooking her arms from her shoulders.
The newspaper owner shook her head with a smile, "It's you that makes it better," She said as she took a deep breath, "Baby," She said smiling. Cheryl's eyes shot up with shock. "Don't look so shocked, You are my baby," Toni said as she took her in her arms again and kissed the redhead's temple.
Cheryl leaned into the embrace and sighed happily, she then lifted her head and kissed Toni's cheek.
"Are you coming on to me Cheryl?" Toni asked playfully,
"No?" She said rolling her eyes,
"You kissed me, Cheryl!" She acted as if she was in shock.
"I did," She said nervously.
"Are you hungry?" Toni smiled as she kissed the redhead's cheek.
"N-No? I don't know," She said nervously then giggled when she saw Toni laugh.
"How could you not know?" Toni asked as she raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know," She giggled again. "I'm thinking of everything but food right now." She said as she put her hands in her pocket. She then looked around and smiled. "Your house is beautiful, it's warm just like you. It's like every corner has a story about you." She said walking around.
The brunette turned Cheryl to face her and placed her hands on her shoulder, "I never broke a promise, and I am trying to keep my promise, so I suggest that we go outside and start breakfast."
The redhead smiled and nodded, Toni then noticed that Cheryl was only wearing a black shirt, "Aren't you going to be cold? It's a bit chilly,"
"You'll keep me warm. Although the heels are killing me,"
Toni laughed, "I'll give you a pair of shoes from mine, come on." She said as she grabbed the redhead's hand and went to get her a pair.
