Chapter 28

So uhh.. This chapter is for my friend Taylor because she yelled at me to update. She doesn't realize how awkward it is for your friends to read your story.

I sat in the hospital next to Tristan while he played on my phone.

"Where is Taylor?" He finally asked. I looked around the room and looked at him.

"He uh- he's not here." I said looking at the picture he posted on Taylor's Instagram.

"How do you know his password?" I asked smiling.

"He told me because he said its special to him." He replied smiling.

I smiled back at him and rubbed his back. I laid my head back against the wall and closed my eyes.

Just as I was about to fall asleep, someone walked into the room.

"Dillon!" Tristan screamed and I opened my eyes to see Tristan hugging Dillon.

"Hey, where's Taylor?" He asked and I shrugged.

"Don't know honestly."

He shook his head as I standed up and hugged me.

"It's been a while." He said as he wrapped his arms around me.

"Not really, but okay." I smiled hugging him back.

"Hey sorry-" I looked over to see Taylor standing in the doorway on his phone.

"Awkward." Tristan said as Dillon and I ended our hug.

"Okay well I'm sorry I took so long. I had to handle a few things." Taylor said sitting on the edge of Tristan's bed.

"Tay, I posted a picture." He said hugging Taylor.

"I know. I saw, how are you doing buddy?" He asked and I smiled.

As they continued conversation, Dillon and I stood in the middle of the room starting our own conversation until a nurse came in.

"Okay, so Mr. Caniff?" She asked looking up from her clipboard.

Taylor spoke up, "that's me."

"Well, Tristan is able to go home today. You just have to give him this medicine from the surgery and follow everything on this sheet of paper." The nurse said handing the paper to Taylor.

"Will do."

"Follow me so we can get the papers so he can leave." She said walking out of the room following.

"Mackenzie?" Tristan asked and I walked over to the bed.

"Yes?" I asked smiling.

"I have to tell you something." He said giggling.

"What about uncle Dillon?" Dillon asked and I started laughing.

"You're not uncle Dillon! You're just Dillon!" Tristan said laughing which made me laugh even more.

Dillon started laughing and Taylor came in asking what happened.

"Dillon said he was uncle Dillon!" Tristan laughed as the nurse unhooked all the IVs.

"Let's go buddy." Taylor said smiling. Tristan hopped off the bed and Taylor immediately picked him up.

"Why do you have Kenzie's phone?" Taylor asked as Tristan started playing flappy bird.

"She said I could." He said giggling.

Taylor smirked at him then looked at me.

"Do you need a ride?" I nodded, trying to hide a smile.

I wonder what Tristan was going to tell me. It got me thinking a lot now.

"Aye Kenz, we have a surprise for you when we get back." Dillon said.

Dillon and Taylor smirked at each other than looked at me.

"What have I got myself into?" I mumbled walking out of the room.

Taylor and Dillon followed and Tristan still had my phone. This will be interesting.

😂 sorry it's very short and boring. I haven't been active lately because well.. A lot of things are happening in my life.

There's school drama, lots of homework, and recently is the date my mom died.5 years ago. :( so I've been inactive. :/ I'm very sorry and this time.. I'm making a commitment.

I'm going to start posting on Wednesdays and Saturdays now. I feel it is easier to make a kind of schedule.
