"Why did you do that?" You feel your voice begin to rise. Eyes searching the room for any nearby object.

You begin to hear Yui's voice in your head.

She always used to ask this question...

What was it?

Your eyes land on a nearby dumbbell, propping the door to your room open.

"Would you rather be alone with a bear or a man in the forest?"

Was that the question?

"Do what?" The pseudo delivery boy cocks his head, clearly puzzled.

He steps towards you, reaching into his pocket.

"Are you telling me you don't understand any of this?" He asks.

You stretch your hand out, the boy settling the papers in your hand.

You squint, reading the contents of the letter.

"Hanarete-San, he told me to give this to you." The boy murmurs, allowing you time to process what was going on.

(Y/N),

Your grandfather and I look forward to your success in maneuvering this new relationship, political or familial.

I leave that choice to you.

So long as you continue to be disciplined in your work ethic.

Regards,
-アキト

You crumple the letter in your fist, absorbing the new reality of your situation.

In truth, you had forgotten all about this promise.

My mind has been to clouded with my own ambitions, that I forgot about my obligations.

Speaking of which...
