xiaojun's.

we just got ourselves in the carnival and i don't really know what to do here.

its my first time and i never had a chance to go here before since i had no one to go with or i had no reason to go.

"so... yahui, what do you want to do here?" i asked. my eyes still observing the new surroundings.

"well, i wanna start with playing at the game stalls and i don't think i have the guts to ride those."

she still won't admit about her situation.

it makes me sad but i guess she doesn't want me to be extra careful or what because i know she is sick. so, i have to pretend like everything's normal even though i feel really cautious around her.

we played for quite some time. resting or eating every once in a while.

*~*

"you like basketball right?" she asked as we stopped at another game stall.

"through video games, yes." i looked at her when she laughed.

"why just video games?"

"cause i'm no athletic person" i laughed with her.

sounds like a stupid reason from me but it is true.

"try it this once please!" she pouted at me.

"i don't think i can do it!"

"well, no one is pressuring you to shoot all 3" she smiled encouragingly.

i payed for one game and to my luck, i surprisingly scored all 3 shots.

"pick a prize, sir!"

i take a look at yahui and signaled her to pick.

the game facilitator squealed, "you guys are cute!"

i can't help but smile and blush.

we weren't together but i'll take that as a compliment.

she got herself a pink rabbit.

she clung to me arm as we walked around again, this time carrying a prize.

i'm glad she chooses me of all people though.

we sat on one of the benches as we reached the other side of the carnival.

i took out my handkerchief and lightly wiped off her sweat on the forehead.

i was just looking at her as i was wiping off and i didn't expect her to meet my gaze.

i awkwardly coughed, "wanna go home?"

she tiredly smiled, "sure."
