Chapter Sixty-Six: Lady Katherine Howard

November 13th, 1541

I walked down the hall with Kenna, Lola, and Bash by my side.

"Aylee is with the twins. Lady Byron has Edward and Elizabeth." Lola began and I nodded as I waved to the children who walked by.

"Kenna, you are always wonderful when it comes to spying. I want you to find out everything you know of the Howard family." I said and Kenna smiled as she nodded.

"When you say everything? Dirt as well."

"Everything Kenna. Dirt, debt, and who are their enemies." I said before I heard heels and I looked up to see a blonde skinny girl standing in front of me.

"Your Majesty." She said as she bowed her head and I raised an eyebrow at her.

"To what do I owe this pleasure of meeting you, Lady?"

"Lady Katherine Howard, Your Majesty. Henry said you wanted to meet me." She said and I felt Bash tense behind me.

"Over two weeks ago I told my husband that. As I told Henry I do not need you as one of my ladies. If you are to be whore might as well be proud of it." I said and Katherine glared at me.

"At least I can keep Henry's attention." She said and Kenna went towards her but I held my hand up.

"Listen to me well Lady Howard. You are just that a Lady. A nobody. I am Queen born to a Queen and Prince and I run two wonderful countries and I declare this now and will send the motion later. You and your family are not welcome in either Denmark or Norway anymore. If you have any family in the two countries they have two weeks to get out." I said and Katherine gasped.

"You cannot do that!"

"I am the Queen of those two countries. I may do as I please. Now kindly move out of my way before I move you myself." I said with a smile on my face.

Katherine stared at me for a moment before bowing her head and moving towards the wall. I placed a hand on my stomach before walking towards my office.

" I will take my leave, Your Majesty. I shall even get Greer to help me while she is resting." Kenna said as she bowed her head to me.

"I shall see you for dinner later Kenna," I said as Bash opened the door for us and we stepped inside.

I walked over to my desk with Bash as Lola sat at the table and began drawing the motion up.

"Henry did not invite me to the meeting with the Privy Council about bringing in a mistress. If I was there I would have told you." Bash said as he sat opposite from me.

"I know Bash. You have always been very loyal to me." I said and he smiled.

"I heard from Elizabeth that you said you would take another. And that it was down to me and the Duke of Oslo." He said and I sent him a smile as I dipped my quill in ink.

"Of course, we were to marry but your brother sent you off to war. I couldn't wait that long." I whispered and Bash nodded.

"Henry always thought you would cheat on him with me."

"If after I have this child and that little girl is here then I might just do that." I hissed before someone knocked on the door. Bash stood up with his hand on his sword before he opened the door.

I smiled when I saw Catherine Brandon.

"I come with a letter from Mary!" She annouced as she walked over to me.

"My most trusted friend," I said with a smile before I took the letter from her hand. I grabbed my dagger and opened the envelope before taking the letter up.

Dear Bella,

Of course, my father would do such a thing. He did it to my mother after her last miscarriage and he did it to Anne Boylen after her first miscarriage. It is what he does.

Catherine, Phillip, Carlos, and I are on our way back from Spain as I send this letter. We shall be returning at the end of the month and staying for winter court.

Do what you can with this Howard and get Kenna to dig up the dirt on her. I am and forever will be on your side.

"She has a new title and the family will be arriving at the end of the month," I explained as I looked toward Catherine.

"What is her new title?"

"Princess Mary of Austria. She finally has Phillip's title." I explained as I placed the letter on my desk. I signed the motion before handing it to Bash.

"Get one of the men to send this out. I want this in Norway and Denmark by the end of the week." I ordered and Bash bowed his head before walking out the office.

"So do you have Kenna getting everything you need to know about the Howards?"

"Of course I do. I am Queen for a reason." I said as I picked up the next letter I needed to respond to.

"Good. I overheard Charles talking to Henry last night when I was laying baby Harry down and they want to know who told you about Katherine."

"You are safe. They shall never know it was you." I explained and Catherine let out a breath.

"Good because I just found out this morning that I am with another child. And last night I found out my husband slept with that french whore again." She spat out and Lola rolled her eyes.

"Men truly are pigs."
