Queen Isabella

October 3rd, 1543

A year has passed and so much has changed. Elizabeth is now ten years old, Edward is now seven, the twins are three, and Henry just turned one year old.

We had spent Fall Court along with Winter court in Denmark before we went back to England. Since January we have been spending court at Hampton court instead of Buckingham Court.

More has changed between Henry and I. His health has become worst along with the fact his temper has gotten worst.

Mary and Philip have been crowned King and Queen of Spain and Mary was trying so hard to give Phillip another son so he may have a spare.

I sat in front of Henry and watched as he read the letter his physician sent me. I have been feeling so ill for the past couple of days and went to the physician two days ago to see what could possibly be wrong with me.

"You're with child again?" He asked and I stared at him for a moment before nodding.

"It may seem that in the middle of summer we shall have two more children joining us," I confessed and Henry snapped his head up so quickly.

"Twins? We are having another set of twins? How far along?"

"I am close to being two months," I whispered and Henry stared at me before placing the letter down.

"I am not getting younger Bella. I cannot be chasing around children. I can barely handle Henry by myself without his Governess helping me." He said and I stared at him.

"I am twenty-four Henry. We have been married for nearly four years. I need an heir to Norway. It will be far too much for Amelia to handle." I said as I leaned forward and took the letter away from him.

Henry stared at me for a moment before leaning back and sighing.

"When do you wish to announce it to the court?"

"I have already written two letters, one for Denmark and one for Norway. It shall arrive in two weeks."

"Then within two weeks, we shall announce to the court." He whispered before someone knocked on the door and I turned to see Charles standing there.

"The council is ready for you Henry." He said and I sighed softly as I stood up.

"We will speak more of this later." He said and I nodded as he walked towards me and pressed a kiss to my forehead.

"Of course dear," I whispered as I watched him walk out of his office and follow Charles to whoever the meeting was being held at.

I saw Greer peek her head in and smile.

There was so much that changed within our friends and family. Six months ago Greer's daughter died from sickness. She was only a year old and I nearly had to beg Greer to get out of bed and eat.

Kenna married Bash's younger brother who now moved to England and now served with his brother as members of my guard.

"I take it he did not take it well." She commented as I walked out of the office and saw Lola and Kenna their as well.

"No, he did not. I keep forgetting Henry is nearly twenty years older than me. I am twenty-four and he is nearly forty-five." I whispered as I led the way towards my office. Bash and his brother waited and opened the doors for us.

Kenna shook her head before she closed the door behind the four of us.

"Yes but I do not think he should have responded like that. A child is a blessing. Catherine of Aragon could only produce Mary. Anne only Elizabeth and Jane only Edward. You are his only wife that has given him not one child but four." She listed and I stared at her.

"But only three lives," I whispered and she watched me for a moment before sighing.

"But he wasn't sick my dear. He was murdered."

"Enough," Greer said and I stared at her for a moment and watched as she stood up for a moment.

"We will not speak of Arthur anymore." She whispered and I nodded as I stepped to my desk and sat down.

"Can someone fetch me a pitcher of water along with a goblet and some fruit?" I asked and Kenna stood up before walking out of my office to go get it.

I stared at my desk before reaching for a piece of parchment and my quill.

Dearest Mary,

I did not congratulate you on becoming Queen Consort of Spain. Your mother would be so proud. I am so proud of you. I know in my heart you will be a wonderful Queen.

I am writing to you to tell you that you shall have two more siblings joining this family in the middle of summer.

Yes, I am having another set of twins after having two single births. I am over the moon to be pregnant again and experience giving birth once again. As for your father he is not. And I fear his opinion shall not change.

He told me he is too old to be going after children again and I truly understand that but I still need an heir for Norway so it does not fall all on Amelia's shoulders.

I hope you and little Catherine are alright and we shall see you soon.

Yours Truly,

Isabella.

I folded the parchment up and slipped it into an envelope before addressing it to Queen Mary of Spain.

"Give this to the messenger please," I told Lola who smiled softly at me before walking out of my office.

"Are you truly alright?" Greer asked and I stared at her for a moment before smiling.

"No, but I am with child again. So I need to act as if I'm truly alright. Which I am not."
