Chapter 24

V's POV

Worry filled my mind. Stress strained on my body. I was heart broken in several ways I didn't think could exist. Y/n was gone and the last thing I said to her was that she was a bother in my life. I said that despite me knowing that she was tossed around her entire life.

"What the hell is wrong with me?" I whispered quietly so no one could hear me. It was my fault that Y/n was tossed aside once again. I should have told her the truth. I should have told her I was trying to protect her.... from Rika's grasps. But then I'd risk Rika getting her hands on everyone in the RFA.

Y/n. When I see you again I promise I will keep you safe. I will disappear with Rika so the RFA and you won't suffer her wrath. "V." I snapped my attention out of my thoughts and back into the present moment.

Jumin was gazing at me with sharp grey eyes. I could tell he was concerned for me. "V you need to stay in the conversation so we can find Y/n. The police can only do so little without your help" Jumin explained. It took me a moment to snap back into my surroundings.

We were at C & R's meeting room. Everyone in the RFA were sitting around the table distraught. When I turned my attention towards Luciel I noticed that he was gripping his clothes firmly. His frown deepening every passing second, he was broken. I did this.

"Ehm" Jaehee coughed bringing all of our attention towards her "let's go over what we know so far. V visited Y/n at Luciel's place. Y/n ran out-" "why did Y/n run out?" Yoosung interrupted. Jaehee tugged at her collar before speaking "that information is classified between Y/n and V." Yoosung stood up abruptly "why can't we know?! Maybe V told Y/n to run off?"

"Oi! Sit down" Zen shouted firmly pulling Yoosung back into his seat. "Yoosung, I understand that your upset but so is everyone else. Calm down so we can pin point what we can do to help Y/n" Zen explained in a calming tone. "You expect me to calm down?! This is all V's fault! Y/n doesn't just act up and run off without telling one."

"Yoosung enough" Zen hissed "no it's okay. Let him be angry... he isn't wrong." Everyone glanced at me in confusion expect for Luciel who sat quietly gazing at the floor. "V, there's no use in blaming yourself" Jumin stated "Y/n was kidnapped." "I hate to say it, but trust fund kid is right. It's not like you intended it" Zen smiles reassuring me "thank you Hyun, Jumin." Yoosung sneers deepening his death glare at me "first Rika, now Y/n" he muttered, venom dripping off his tongue as he looked at me.

I wanted to reach out and comfort Yoosung but I knew that would only make things worse for him. "Luciel?" Jaehee looks to Luciel, unresponsive to her words. "You've been sitting there silently ever since we got here. We'll find Y/n-" "don't you think that Y/n could be in extreme danger because of me?" Everyone in the room was filled with confusion expect for me.

I understand Luciel's fear. Y/n could be kidnapped by his enemy due to his job position. Now that I'm thinking this way the anxiety settles in causing me to feel restless. I sit forward "Jumin, you were on the phone with Y/n. You would remember exactly what that man had said" I stated folding my hands together in front of my lips.

"Don't worry Y/n is fine. I'm taking her to an eternal paradise. My saviour will take good care of her. You won't have to miss her because you'll all join here soon." My heart jumped in my chest as Jumin recited what the kidnapper had said. No... this couldn't have been Rika's doing right? Perhaps there is another place where they speak the same, but it wouldn't hurt to check....

If Rika has Y/n... I need to make my way over to Mint Eye right now! Although, I can't just leave suddenly, everyone will be suspicious of my actions. "The other day I had a dream that Y/n disappeared... I should have warned everyone. I do remember seeing Y/n in a strange place with her phone. Maybe...Luciel can't you find a way to get access into Y/n's phone to find her location?" Zen questioned.

Luciel remains quiet "don't you think the kidnapper would be smart enough to know to destroy the phone?" Luciel then replied in a monotone. "If we speculate, perhaps Y/n may still have her phone. Or it's still at the scene she was taken? It wouldn't hurt to try" Jaehee added. "Even if her phone is with her or not, I added a particular code that is difficult to hack. It's to avoid anyone entering her data or specifically her location."

"Can't you just hack it?" Yoosung questioned "yes... although I put several codes I'd have to hack. Normally it would take a month if the attacker knew what they were doing. Since I'm familiar with it, it would take me a week" Luciel explained. "A week?! Y/n may not have a week!" Yoosung screeched.

"It's the best we can do at the moment" I state Jumin nods his head in agreement. "We know very little on Y/n's whereabouts, but if what Luciel said was true. The police could attempt to trace back the call through my phone, but it would take a month. Since Luciel is familiar with his own coding it would only make sense, it would take less time." Jumin explained holding his hands together.

"Then, after he breaks the coding we can forward the information to the police?" Zen questions "if we forward that specific information Luciel could be at risk for arrest for hacking private information illegally" I state cutting Zen off. Zen swallows hard nervousness plastered upon his face, everyone seemed uneasy at this point.

Luciel stood from his seat and walked out no words escaping his lips. "I never seen Luciel so depressed I'm worried...." Jaehee mutters with a frown "this is difficult for Luciel since he's expecting the worse because of his position. Y/n is at a risk for harm." I stand from my seat tucking in my chair behind me "for now please be supportive of Luciel and I. I promise that Y/n will come back. Excuse me."

Stepping out of C & R's building I let a sigh escape my lips. I need to make my way to Mint Eye right away and check the security cameras. If Y/n is within the Magenta a whole new load of problems will be set upon my shoulders, especially if Luciel finds Y/n's location. Pressing my fingers to my nose I make my way back to my vehicle where Luciel sat in the passenger seat glancing down at his computer working away.

I make my way to the drivers seat Luciel not even glancing my way for a moment as he typed. "Are you-?" "Yes I'm hacking into Y/n's phone. I guess Zen was right. They were stupid enough to not crush it when they took Y/n. I've already checked all security footage around C & R. It's strange.... I couldn't find any previous footage on a camera near an empty back road." I turned on the car "where was it?" "I'll tell you as you drive. It was deleted an hour ago." Luciel states pulling up a road map. I swallow hard slightly fearful that "he" got involved. "You don't think we're up against a hacker, do you?" I question looking for reassurance. "Hacker wouldn't be uncommon in my situation V... especially since Y/n is living with me, but that would mean they know too much. Who ever they are...

They're someone who knows what they're doing..."
