Y/n's POV

I scrub at the floor harshly with the mop, my knuckles turning white the tighter I grip the handle. Luciel's phone call he had with V lingered in my mind. I wouldn't have heard a thing if he didn't talk so loudly, so I was in danger huh? I wanted to ask V who was trying to hurt me, but if I open my mouth Luciel could be in trouble for not being careful. There has to be a way I can pry some information out of V.

"Keep working like that and you may break your arms" a deep voice suddenly said from behind me. "I'm pretty sure I'll break the floor before I break myself" I stated working more quickly. "I wouldn't be surprised by that- would you stop that for a moment?" Suddenly the mop was snatched from my hands and I turned around slightly agitated. Vanderwood stood before me holding the mop with an annoyed look. He held the mop out the stick pressing against my stomach "what's wrong with you?" "Nothing" I wrap my fingers around the handle of the mop and pull it from his grasp.

"Don't give me that bullshit. You cleaned yesterday when I was over and now you're cleaning again? On top of that you're working so hard I'm starting to worry whether you'll shatter your bones or not." I lift my hand wiping the sweat from my forehead "no need to worry about that. Luciel is in the bathroom taking a shower in case you're wondering" I explained moving farther and farther away from Vanderwood. He crosses his arms with a sour look "speaking of him. I wish he'd work as hard as you" "Luciel works hard when he wants to."

"You're not wrong" Vanderwood mutters under his breath "but only if the guy would stay on track instead of messing around." I glance at Vanderwood with a pitiful frown "gah, don't look at me like that" he hissed turning away from me, I shrug my shoulders in response going back to cleaning the floors.

Vanderwood wanders his way over towards the couch and takes a seat scanning over the room. "So, what's up with your face?" "What do you mean?" I question scrubbing the floor harder breaking a sweat. "You're frowning so much that your face looks like it will crack" "gee thanks..." I grumble as I give him a quick glare.

"What's on your mind?"

"A lot of things."

"Elaborate?"

"The usual."

"And that is?"

"My brother...." I finally spit out. Vanderwood groans "every time-" "I mope around its because of that 'guy' and I should just move on blah blah. I know!" I quote stopping in my tracks with a distressed expression. "But I can't help it. He's family-" "does true family make you miserable?" Vanderwood questions in response. "Well it depends but..... I just want to hope for something" I explain, Vanderwood shakes his head in disappointment.

"You can hope. Just don't forget your pride because you're going to lose it waiting for someone that might not come around" Vanderwood states firmly. His words ring in my mind repetitively, sinking in my head. There was no way he was wrong, but I couldn't help but be hung up on it. V is my brother after all and there's so many unanswered questions that I need to know.

Yoosung would understand how I feel....

"Oh ho ho!" Luciel's laugh blurts out from the bathroom door as he opens it. Steam rolls out of the room as he steps out with only a pair of pants and socks. "Y/n" Luciel pushes up his steamy glasses waiting for them to defog before approaching me. When he stops in front of me he covers his bare chest "why are you looking at me you pervert!" He squealed in a tease.

My jaw drops along with my patience's. "You're the one without a shirt!!!" I shout with irritation in my voice. "Excuses! Vanderwood aren't you going to stop this harassment?!" Vanderwood crosses his arms, eyebrows crunching together forming several wrinkles. "Don't drag me into your stupid games 707. Get back to work" Luciel lets out a huff of defeat "what a party pooper" "birds and a feather stick together" I stated as I head towards the couch reaching for the folded button up black collared shirt.
