Titilating Catharsis

Rudra didn't know what to say, but it stayed with him. His Dad and Sati were in a fix, only solution could be that both were reassured of their fears for each other. A strange sweet relationship like this Rudra couldn't have imagined had he not seen it himself. His father was risking his health and Sati her safety. He thought it would be best if he understood more about the situation then only take some actions...

All of them went to their rooms to sleep, Rudra came to check on Sati and found her looking at her tiny bed all occupied by Jhumki and Dhhinku... She was about to climb on the bed when Rudra saw that Dhondu was looking at him and came rushing towards them Rudra immediately held him midway before he could push Sati. Then he took her to his room to sleep and he himself slept on the couch....

Few hours later....

Sati got up groaning pain and fever. When Rudra got up she was trying to get up and fell back on the bed....the exertion of the day catching up with her.

Rudra: Sati tumne last khana kab khaya.... Dinner kab kiya tha Pixie?

Sati: Nahi khaya....

Rudra: Nahi khaya! Kab se nahi khaya?

Sati: Subah se....

Rudra: Sati subah se kuchh nahi khaya aur sham se itna exhert kiya tumne... uchhal kud, ganaa nachna.... Pixie khana kyu nahi khaya idiot?

Sati: (started to cry) Aap ne bhi toh nahi khaya, toh main kaise khati Dost aur mujhe Baba ne bataya ke aap chale gaye.... mujhe dar lag raha tha ke aap sach mein mujhse gussa ho.... Toh in sab mein mujhe khana khane ka mann nahi kiya...

Rudra: (came and hugged her, his pixie has been so worried for him. He felt a beautiful feeling budding in him, as if someone opened a few windows in his heart and now he breathed better.. ) Main kahi gaya thodi tha pagal ladki, kuchh saman lena tha woh lene gaya tha aur ek call lena tha aur yaha reception achha nahi hai toh wohi call le raha tha.... Isme darnewali kya baat thi?

Sati: Jab koi chala jata hai toh mujhe bohot dar lagta hai... Maa ki tarah aap wapas nahi aate toh?

Sati being Sati cried like a baby and then got more tired of crying.... Started to hiccup. Rudra couldn't talk, unknowingly he has put her through her worst fear... and that hit him hard. Poor sweetheart had been so stressed while she had arranged for everything for his surprise Birthday Party, even though she was so unwell. He felt contrite, but a strange peace and happiness settled within him. She cared enough to get scared about his leaving....

He made her sit on the bed with the help of pillows.... Got her some food and took out the packet he had kept in his almirah earlier and gave it to her...

Sati : Milk Powder! Wow.... Dost aap leke aaye mere liye?....

Rudra: Haa, par khana khana padega toh milega ok?

Sati agreed, and Rudra was feeding her when Romendra came....

Romendra: Sati kya huya tujhe? Tu ro kyu rahi thi....

Sati: Baba Sati katti aapse... Aapne kyu kaha ke Dost chale gaye?

Romendra looked at Rudra...

Rudra: Baba use laga main humesha ke liye chala gaya.... Aunty ki tarah...

Romendra came and hugged her. Then he rocked her like a baby while running his hand through her head.

Romendra: Mera bachcha dar gaya tha? Galati ho gayi beta, mera yeh matlab nahi tha. Tu abhi kyu kha rahi hai?

Rudra: Dar gayi thi toh din bhar kuchh nahi khaya, medicines bhi nahi li, upar se party ka exertion. Baba khana khayegi phir medicines leke so jayegi toh theek ho jayegi subah tak, aap fikr mat karo.

Romendra: La main khilata hu iss ko... so jayegi toh main chala jaunga...

Sati: Baba nahi.... Aap jao... Sati Dost ki baat maanegi aur guddu baby ki tarah so jayegi.... Pukka promise....

Romendra left half heartedly... Sati finished her food and meds and told Rudra she wanted to listen to a story....

Rudra started the story of a princess who became ill because she had wanted the moon. And then something struck him. How the clown had found the solution to that by asking the princess how big was the moon and how to get it.... Maybe he should do the same....

Rudra: Sati baba ke operation ke baad unki ladli nahi hogi, toh unka khayal koun rakhega?

Sati: Unki Girlfriend....

Rudra: Baba ki girlfriend ... Woh koun hai? (he laughed) Tumhi ne toh kaha unki koi girlfriend nahi hai

Sati: Dost aap bilkul buddhu hai.... Girlfriend hai bas Baba ke paas nahi hai...

Rudra: Koun?

Sati: Aapki Mom...
