"You were asking me something, weren't you?"

She asked as they walked further into the dark streets of the city. The moon shone brightly in the sky, which made up for the lack of streetlights and flickering neon signs. Figuring that the best way to forget his fear was distracting him, she decided to change the topic.

"Oh yeah," he replied, "I was asking about your hobbies. What are they?"

"Well," she said, "I love painting. I love singing, obviously."

Detecting a confused expression on his face, she added, "I am in a band."

"Right! Go on," he said.

"I love making my own clothes. Double obvious," she flapped the fabric of her t-shirt that had patchwork on it. "And I love listening to music, teaching and dancing."

Her excited tone helped him distract himself and at the same time, feel less guilty about the earlier incident.

"Same question," she asked him back. He said, "You have a LOT of hobbies," to which she nodded.

He continued, "I, on the other hand, have very few. I watch movies. I sleep. I too listen to music. I think that's the only hobby we have in common."

"Hold on. Hold on," she interrupted, "Who doesn't like watching movies? And sleeping cannot be counted as a hobby. Even I do those!"

"Are you telling me that my only hobby is listening to music?" he questioned her.

She nodded and said, "And movies. But yeah, that's it."

Does that mean I don't have any means of enjoyment? Don't I enjoy life at all? He thought.

"I'll ask the third question!" she suddenly interjected his thoughts and continued, "Why are you going and where you are going to?"

"Well...huh?" unable to understand her question, he gave her a puzzled look.

"I meant," she said," you don't have to tell me the location, but what is the purpose of your travel?"

"Oh," he licked his lips and said, "I have a wedding to attend."

"Whose wedding? Wait. Let me guess," placing a finger in the space between her eyebrows, she pretended to think hard. Then she looked at him and asked, "It's of someone very close to you, isn't it?"

He looked at her, surprise evident on his face, "How do you know?"

She turned to him and answered, "You just don't seem like someone who would take leave from work, travel in a train for hours, to attend a random person's wedding."

He smiled and nodded his head, "Yes. That is true. Okay. My turn. Same question."

She jumped in joy and said, "There is a hot air balloon festival down South. Music. Food. People from different countries. It is going to be amazing."

"It does sound amazing," he said with a smile.

"Hey!" she hopped at her spot, "Since we are both travelling to the South, you should attend the festival with me!"

At the sudden enthusiasm, he just smiled and said, "No. No. It's not my thing."

"Oh, come on. It will be fun!" she hopped again. Every time she hopped her blue hair shone in the light.

"Plus, if you need a date for the said wedding, I'm available," she gave him a sly smile.

Just laughing it off, he said, "I'll think about it. Okay?"

Giving him a double thumbs up, she replied, "Okay!"

"Okay. Fourth question," he began, "Tell me about your family."

They approached a junction and decided to take a right. As they proceeded into the empty dark sidewalk, she replied, "I have five sisters. Two elder ones and two younger ones. And I am smack in the middle."

"Wow!" he looked impressed, "You must have had a very busy childhood."

Nodding her head, she said, "I did. I actually did."

Taking a moment, she thought back to her childhood.

"Normally I find middle children very boring and scary. Well you are a little scary, but you seem quite the opposite of boring!" he expressed his insights into the topic of middle children.

"I know. I know. But my family is a little different. I am the most amusing one among all of us!"

"I believe you!" he matched her enthusiasm with a smile.
