As they hurried back, they saw the poster again. Stopping in front of it, both spent over a second, admiring its beauty. And then he walked ahead, recollecting that they had quite a long distance to cover. After a few steps, he felt that he was missing something. It took him a few steps walking alone to realize that he was missing about 50kg. Turning around, he saw her clicking a picture of the poster.

“Yes! I know, they are wonderful but we have a train to catch. So, come on!” he pulled her by the arm.

Covering a few more blocks, they took the right turns. The neon signs were turning off one by one. Windows of apartments were open. Babies could be heard crying. It was practically ‘a morning’ and people had started appearing more on the streets. It was ‘rise and shine’ time for the little town after all.

A sudden eerie feeling crept up in him as soon as they entered a lane. He glanced at her and saw terror in her face as well.

“Why do I feel so weird? Do you feel weird?” he asked her.

“The stall is missing.”

“Huh?” he looked at her confused. Immediately it struck him why that lane seemed so unnerving.

“Oh shit! Where is our serial killer?”

They looked at each other with wide eyes. Immediately pulling him by the arm she said, “Let’s not summon him and just get out of here.”

Leaving behind the terror lane, they covered a few more meters. It was of utmost importance to get away from that place. As they walked side by side, they looked around and recognized yet another street. A smile automatically made way to his lips at the memory.

“It was a good kiss wasn’t it?” she asked suddenly. He nodded and replied, “Yes, it was.”

Taking in a deep breath, he added, “I’m glad you finally admit it.” Causing her to chuckle a little.

“You do realize that we were literally ‘walking down the memory lane’,” she said as they started walking uphill.

“Yeah. But it's over now. We are almost at the station,” he pointed towards the once lightened up blue sign that was turned off as the morning had arrived.

They walked into the station. The scene was much different from what they encountered at night. There were many a people carrying luggage. They were of various age, gender, size and race. Some were talking loudly over the phone. While some were busy counting their bags, some were busy counting their family members. Some were seen arguing at the information desk with the same girl they had encountered at night. Yes, she was back.

Damn it. He thought.

“Let’s just hurry and get our luggage,” he said.

“Yeah, I was waiting for your reaction as you’d spot her,” she laughed as he pulled her away from there.

Pulling their trolley along, they walked back into the lobby. He looked at the old clock and said, “We have a solid 30 minutes more,” he then turned to her and said, “I wonder what we can do in 30 minutes.”

She pretended to think and said, “I know something we can do in 30 minutes.”

Out of the blue, she suddenly winked at him. His jaw dropped when he finally understood what she meant. But immediately it was followed by a chuckle. He said, “You do realize that it's funny only because you said it. Had I been the one saying this, I would have been labelled as a pervert.”

She waved her hand and brushed it off.

“Fine. Fine. True, but whatever.”

She watched as he cleaned the lens of his glasses on the fabric of his t-shirt. As he wore them, he noticed her stare at him.

“What?” he asked.

“Are you still planning to attend this wedding?” she asked him.

He smiled looking at the ground. Then he looked up at her and said, “I have been thinking about it. And, no I’m not going to the wedding. I’m returning home.”

She returned his smile as she nodded. She said, “That’s great! I’m glad you took this decision.”

“Thanks,” he replied. Taking in a deep breath he added, “We have four more questions to go. Do you have anything to ask me?”
