While I was a doll, everything was quiet.
I would blink.
I would nod.
Each movement of mine would say: "Yes!"
You were glowing.
One day, I took a goose feather, put it in the inkwell and wrote: "I am not a doll."
You ripped the paper in half.
You grabbed me violently.
You shook me.
"Yes, you are a doll! You are!" you screamed.
Then I touched my blinking eyes.
My breathing nose.
My cheeks reddening in rage.
And I left.
