It's been three weeks since your fathers death. Rick Grimes. He died of the bridge blowing up when him and some others built it. Sometimes, you really believe if he is dead because, could this really be it? All you had now was Michonne and God forbid if you lost her, you'd be on your own with your little sister Judith.
Being in Alexandria was a blessing. You don't think you would still be alive if this place wasn't here. Michonne and your dad kept this place alive and now it's up to you to help keep it going.
The whisperers aren't helping. Always trying to pick a fight with Alexandria. Having the Alphas daughter as a captive is not making anything any easier.
It was the middle of the night. You were sitting on the edge of your bed trying to figure out the whole deal with the Whisperers. They were the hardest people you had to deal with yet.
Popping a pain killer into your mouth, you heard someone's feet walking down the hallway. You slid the bottle of pain killers under your pillow and got up gently to not wake up Judith.
"Hello?" You whispered harshly in the hallway. No answer. You shook it off and when you reached halfway back to your room, you heard a glass fall in the kitchen. Your eyes widened at the sound. You then hear Judith's door open, her ready with a weapon. You tug Judith's arm and lift up your leg that had a pocket knife in your sock.
"Stay right behind me." You harshly demanded her quietly.
"Where's mom?" Judith asked not as scared as you.
"I don't know." You disregarded the question and then walked down the stairs quietly. "Judith, go on the other side of the staircase and see if you see anyone."
Judith listened to you, now having you watch her back and yours. You peeked over the staircase and saw the kitchen light flashed your eyes but no one was there.
"Judith-" You whisper in a harsh tone and you motion her to come over to you. She followed your order. "Stay here." You pushed Judith away.
"Y/N-"
"No, go to your room." You harshly whispered to her. She raised her eyebrows at you and she stumbled away, still looking at you.
"I'm sorry, okay? I can't lose you either." You sniff, looking over the railings. She goes down the hallway and closes her door quietly without breaking eye contact.
You finally walk down the stairs with the pocket knife held high ready to attack. As you finally hit the end of the stairs, a familiar voice came from the back of the house.
"Hey, it's just me." The voice spoke and you turned around, stunned. He grabbed your hand to calm you down. You gasped heavily and sighed heavily, trying to catch your breath.
"I could've stabbed you." You glared at Daryl who grabbed your knife slowly from your hand.
"I was just checking on everyone. Nightly runs." Daryl explained and you nodded simply.
"Anything wrong?" You asked curiously.
"Nothing unusual." Daryl answered you.
You sighed, sitting down on the squeaky table. You heard Daryl set the knife down.
"I'm going to go look for traps." Daryl then stood there, looking at you for an answer.
"Daryl-" You glanced up at him, seeing him just look at you for approval. "You're going to get yourself killed. Alpha and Beta are out there and one sight of you and they will-"
"I'll keep my distance." Daryl reminded you. "I'll be back before sunrise." Daryl told you.
You nod, unsurely.
Daryl has been with you since the beginning. You see him as someone you trusted deeply, with your life. You and him got close by watching out for each other.
He turns around, just looking at your tired body.
"Please, I can't loose you too." You beg, teary eyed.
"You know I will." Daryl told you. He begins to grab his things and before he walked out, he placed a hand on your shoulder. You cracked a unknowing smile.
