As you got to your room you heard a click, your brain didn't process it as important which was your first mistake. The open door should have been your second clue as to something being wrong. Nothing could have prepared you for what happened next. An explosion. Deafening. Ringing pierced your hearing, rubble covered your aching body, the pain was indescribable. In your stomach was a shard of what looked to be glass, falling to your knees you leaned against the opposite wall.
"Y/n!" Cap called from down the hall, the whole team was racing towards you. Bucky was the first to reach you as he slid to your barely conscious body. Loki reaches down to check but Bucky suddenly burst.
"Don't touch her!"
"Soldier of winter, I trust fully that my brother can help,"
"B-Bucky?" Your groggy voice only made out his name.
"I don't trust him!"
"B-Bucky, I t-trust-"
"You see! She trusts, now move aside you quim," Loki took you off Bucky as Cap places his hand on his shoulder. Buckys eyes watered as worry filled his entire body, he couldn't lose you. The same went with Loki, he wasn't going to lose a friend, not his only one.
"Brother do something fast!" Thor said worriedly. Green lights flashed as Loki's fingers hovered elegantly over your body. "Is it working?!" Thor pushed.
"I'm trying you oaf!" Hints of fear and frustration filled his voice. "I'm no healer! It's incredibly draining-" the rest you couldn't hear as you slipped away and died-
JK LMAO YOU THOUGHT (had to do it I'm so sorry) ok back to the story
As you slipped into unconsciousness the more Loki's powers drained. "Y/n?! Y/N?! What did you do?!" Bucky took you away from Loki as the shard of glass was pulled out. Your unconscious state scared the hell out of everyone, Bruce bent down and took your pulse.
"She's alive..." sudden calmness fills the room as everyone let out breathes they didn't know they held.
"No one goes in their rooms until FRIDAY checks them out," Tony ordered. "We are getting to the bottom of this

12 hours passed as you slept in the hospital wing, a monitor beeped quietly. As your eyes adjusted to the light bleeding through the curtains. "Loki?" Your hand was in the palm of the sleeping god.
"Elskan mín-? Lady Y/n?" He jumps to his feet and opens the door to call for the nurse. After he does he bombards you with questions. "Are you alright? Does anything hurt? Are you sore? DO you need water?" You chuckle and get up. Refusing, your body drops back down earning a groan from you. Loki came to your aid slowly helping you back down on your back. "You should not be doing that,"
"I know that-"
"LADY Y/N!" Immediately Loki backs off from you, going back to that stern facade as his brother burst into the room.
"Thor! Quiet!" You shush the booming god instantly clasping your ears.
"Oh! Very sorry, Lady," The rest of the team got down immediately crowding the room with questions. Loki unobtrusively slipped away from the group going to his room.
"Elskan mín? Really? You fool," He scolded himself as you greeted the worried others.

Once everyone left to do their own business a note appeared beside the bed.
Get better soon, Lady Y/n.

Next to the note was a cup of tea from a cafe you and Loki went to one night. "He cares for you," Thor says from the doorway. "And you, him," He smiles and sits down in the chair where Loki sat. "He has never shown such kindness, as you humans say, he has a "soft spot" for you," flushing pink you chuckle and deny it.
"No, he's only being nice," suddenly your remembered something, something in your room, something you couldn't lose. You reach into your pockets searching around for that pendant. "Thor..." Worry filled your eyes as you got up from the bed.
"Y/n? What are you doing?" he asked in a not so formal manner.
"My pendant! It was in my room," You clutched the bedside table and limped to the door.
"We can replace it,"
"N-no, you don't understand," grabbing your stomach you open the door only for it to be closed by Thor. "Thor let me out!"
"Lady," he said more calmly. "At least let me help," He said softly. Supporting your weight, he helps you limp to the elevator where you waited to go up to your floor.

"It has to be here somewhere!" You and Thor had just got to the ruins of your room. Stumbling down to your knees you shift pieces out of the way around your bedside table nearest the door, Thor helps though he has no idea what he is looking for.
"Lady Y/n what are we looking for?"
"Round metal pendant- found it!" In your hand was a metal pendant with a snowflake stationed in the middle, carved out. Around it was some sort of writing or symbols you never knew what it meant, however, you cherished it with all your heart, it was the first gift your parents gave you at a young age. Over your shoulder Thor peered down to look at it, retreating back shocked.
"Y/n..." His voice was stern and worried.
"What? What is it, Thor?" You looked up at the god, seeing his eyes wide.
"May I see that?" He studied the pendant in his big hands for a while before calling out. "LOKI!"
