Chapter 4

I stayed with the shadows watching as the other little humans fought against Sendak. Technically fathers not here so I don't have to  do what he says...

As the red human kicks Sendak, the altean? Wasn't Altea dead? I was there... I should know...

She probably shouldn't know I was there come to think about it...

As she Traps him in a shield fortress thing? Hold the phone I'm so confused...

I need to get in closer to hear.

As I stealthy climb the walls by picking two sharp feathers out of my wings that just grew new ones. I climb without making a sound as I stare at them upside down with my wings wrapped around me to make me camouflage more into the dark ceiling.

"Lance!?" As I see the red one go over to him.

"We did it. We are a good team." Awww that's kawaii,

"Come on lets get you into a healing pod." Lance nods and sighs but before he can drift off he looked up. And saw me. Hanging by my feet that are wrapped around sharp feathers and the top of a head surrounded by thick metal wings. His eyes go wide then he started laughing to which the others just think he's delusional. I however am thankful that they think so. Even tho I could probably over take the entire empire by myself. I don't want to get caught for some reason? I wait there on the ceiling until they return which was taking forever but alas they did come back.

The alteans came back and started fixing all the controls that were messed with for a while until the guy with an amazing mustache spoke up.

"Lance should be waking soon let's gather the others." The girl nodded as they both went out. I sighed before literally falling down. But I was inside my wings so I was fine. Can't say the same for the floor tho. As I stood tall I raised my wings up a little to keep them from dragging and giving away my position as I followed the alteans. They never knew I was there. As they walked in I did as well staying beside the walls as I leaned against it and waited.

"I can't tell if he looks healthy or not." The big guy now know as hunk spoke.

"I think he's breathing weird." The little human called Pidge said with her face plastered on the glass.

"Oh, come on!" The fisty human known as Keith exclaimed.

"Give him a few more ticks." The altean known as Allura speaks up... Allura...

Where have I heard that name?

"How much better do you think he's gonna get in a few more ticks?" Keith asked annoyed with her...

I have a feeling that the fisty human and the sleeping one might have some hidden feelings.

"And what exactly is a tick?" Pidge asked...

I have a feeling she's really smart.. better stay clear...

My idiotic genes are contagious.

"You know, a time slice." Allura answered. Yes I am well aware of a tick but are these humans not? Isn't it just like a second?

"You mean like a second?" The leader asked.

Called it

"What's a second?" Allura asked.

Pidge then held out some type of device to Allura and Coran to show what a second was.

"I'm not sure, I think ticks are bigger. Coran, do you have a ticker?" She asked the male altean.

"Right here princess." Coran said pulling out a ticker from his pocket.

They all gathered in a circle totally unaware of the sleeping human about to eat it on the floor. I rush over to the falling human without making a sound as I carefully picked him up and set him down on the floor. I didn't have time to see if he saw me or if he was still half asleep because I had to quickly get to the other side of the room to hide once more without making a sound.

"Lance!" They all had turns hugging the still shaken up human as he looked around for a moment before turning towards his comrades.

"I swear I keep seeing a pretty girl." Many of his fellow comrades chuckles while Shiro and Pidge just look at each other then back towards their comrades.

"Let's go get you something to eat." Lance, as Hunk called him started doing what earthlings call flirting.

"Walking? Eating? Are you asking me out on a date?" The others chuckle at his comment while walking out. However I caught Shiro looking around from the corner of his eyes. Before walking out last. I wait a good 5 minutes before following their scent. Yes, I can smell them. Keep up.

As I trailed them I thought about how they haven't made any search parties for me. Surely they ought to think I didn't just disappear right?
