When we got to the pink palace, we were soaking and sitting outside on the porch.
There was more thunder and some lightning.
"What do we do with this?" Wybie asked as he held the doll up.
"We have to destroy it. For good" I replied.
"Can we wait till its not raining?" he asked.
"Yeah" I replied.
Wybie and I sat next to each other on the porch and stared out at the dark clouds. Thunder clapped every few minutes and the rain didn't seem to be letting up any time soon.
"I should probably get back to my house" Wybie said.
"Not in this weather! You can just come inside until it stops" I replied.
"Will your parents care?" Wybie asked.
"Wybie, you have been at our apartment almost everyday for the last five years. You're basically part of the family" I joked. Wybie laughed softly and stood up. He held his hand out for me and helped me up too.
We went inside and took off our boots. I ran up to my room and changed into dry clothes before borrowing some of my dads clothes for Wybie. I gave him the dry clothes and he got changed in the bathroom.
We went into the kitchen in search of something to eat. There was a few things in the fridge so we had a couple of sandwiches.
"I don't understand how the doll can move. It's just a doll, right?" Wybie said.
"I don't understand any of this either. Never could" I replied.
"Its fascinating" he said.
We spent the rest of the day lounging about my house and keeping a close eye on the doll to make sure it didn't run off.
