The Detour

"Buckle up people!! We are going for a detour!" Raven finished as she accelerated the car.

"Woah woah woah. What?! What do you mean detour!? We are supposed to be getting back after we find stuff!!" Nick argued.

"Ahm.. Not really. Your mother gave us till dusk to get back if I'm not wrong? So if the grounder taught me well.. We have about 3 hours till dusk!" Raven said casually looking up at the sun and mentioning Lincoln good naturedly.

Before any of them could answer, Raven revved the engine and they were in speed.

"Bu- Where are we even going?! You can't just take us anywhere!" Alicia tried to reason.

Raven said slipping into some wierd accent for the first sentence, "We are going to find some weapons sweetheart. Preferably guns. And I'm not taking you anywhere. You climbed in the car giving me permission to drive wherever I like, didn't you??" and immediately raising her arms up in the air after Elyza death glare at the word 'sweetheart'.

"Damn. You are whipped" Raven muttered chuckling.

Elyza just rolled her eyes regretting her behavior because she knew Raven would not let her live it down anytime soon.

"Guns!? What do you mean guns? We can't have guns!" Alicia said breaking whatever was going on between the girls.

"We need guns or sooner rather than later we would die. We can't always fight in close range and you would be surprised at how useful guns can be.." Elyza said remembering how she would be dead twenty times over if she didn't have a gun. But a part of her despised that weapon.

"Yeah no shit" Raven commented.

"You two speak like you know how to use a gun..?" Nick asked.

"Of course we do. And I'm pretty sure you already had figured that out" Raven answered.

When Nick didn't have an answer, Raven picked up the speed and was going a well around 100mph.

"I always wanted to drive at 100mph and give no shit about tickets or jail time! WOOHOO!!" Raven said screaming.

"Join in!!" Raven nudged Elyza and looked at the rear view mirror.

At first Elyza didn't wanted to but then she realized, what's there to lose? So she joined in.

"WOOHOO! YEAH!" Raven and Elyza screamed laughing like kids.

After some time when the siblings still hadn't joined in, Raven went for Plan B. Music. She turned on the music player and High hopes by Panic! at the disco started playing.

"Had to have high high hopes for a living! Shooting for the stars when I couldn't make a killing!" Raven sang along loudly while driving.

"Didn't have a dime but I always had a vision. Always had high high hopes!!" Raven sang along nudging Elyza to join in.

At first Elyza was feeling shy or but then when she saw Raven's enthusiasm and her happiness she decided to go along with it too.

"Mama said, Fulfill the prophecy. Be something greater go make a legacy! Manifest destiny. Back in the days we wanted everything wanted everything" They sang gesturing up near the sky to space referring to their past lives at the last part.

"C'mon sing along!!" Raven said looking at the siblings.

"Mama said... Don't give up. It's a little complicated. All tied up. No more love. And I hate to see you waiting" Raven pointed to Elyza at the last part. Elyza sighed and rolled her eyes.
