After a few good minutes, the laughing died down and everyone calmed down a bit, Raven announced,
"So. Nick. You wanna learn how to shoot a gun? We have a about 6 rifles and we need people to use them just in case" Raven said to Nick.
"Uhmm.. Yeah.. Sure. When do you wanna do it?" Nick asked.
"Right now. C'mon! Help me get the bags out" Raven said to Nick while walking towards her room.
They both went in and brought 2 bags. The one with the rifles and the other with the ammo.
Elyza and Raven took the rifles and the guns out, Elyza put the guns on her waist and starting loading 3 rifles.
Raven picked up one rifle and signalled for Nick to join her. Elyza and the others just standing and looking from a little further.
"So. First what you need to do is know your weapon. Know how it works and then learn how to shoot. Not the other way around" Raven said taking apart the rifle.
"Why would anyone do it the other way around?" Nick asked not getting it.
"When grounders want to kill you every minute of the day" Raven non chalantly replied.
Elyza, Lexa and Lincoln chuckled.
Next Raven went and explained to Nick about different parts of the rifle and what they do by taking it apart.
She put the rifle back together to show him how it's done and took it apart again for him to do it.
Once Nick was familiar with all the parts, she taught him the basic stance and then how to reload the rifle and how to check the ammo. Though Nick wasn't the brightest at grasping Info fast, Raven pulled through without blowing him up. So that's progress right?
After what felt like 10 hours, but was around 3, Nick finally got the basics. Raven whooped when Nick pulled apart and put together the rifle, checked the ammo and reloaded it and actually stood in a correct stance without asking a thousand questions.
Now was time to shoot. But they needed a target.. Raven saw something at the best time,
"Hey Strand! Can you go close to that beach? Not completely dock but at a target practicing distance?" Raven called to strand.
Also about Strand, the others found out he was pretty chill. Not bothering to interfere in anything. As long as his ship was safe, he didn't care whatever the grounders did. Some would also say Strand liked the new people better than the family because they knew how to survive rather than living in a fairy tale. But of course he would never admit that. So he just rolled his eyes and turned the yacht towards the beach Raven saw.
The beach was infested with walkers. Hundreds of them. Some moving and some standing still. The best place to target practice.
"Watch" said Raven to Nick.
Raven took another rifle and tossed one to Elyza smirking,
"Let's see if you remember how to shoot one of these"
They both took their stance near the edge of the yacht, Nick and the others standing behind. First Raven positioned the rifle's butt near her shoulder, adjusted her grip, put her finger on the trigger, looked through the scope, breathed in, held and shot. A walker went down. Just like this she shot 4 more moving walkers, voicing some tips and tricks to Nick standing behind her along the way.
She smirked towards Elyza and she just huffed out a breath and did the same with her rifle and shot down 5 walkers simultaneously.
"I didn't use rifles doesn't mean I don't know how to shoot them" Elyza smirked.
