Whatever doesn't kill you...
Will leave a nasty scar.

Our eyes meet and we nod to each other, knowing our game plan already. Turning away from me, Winter walked off to get the red haired woman, I turned in the other direction to get the captain. This was possibly our hardest mission yet and we were not going to lose.

Looking left to right scoping out the area, looking in all the small spaces that the great Captain America could hide in. Though there wasn't many. Captian America was a very well built man, broad shoulders, small waist, a hell of a lot of muscle. Before getting side tracked even more, I stop in the middle of the desserted road and take a one eighty turn when hearing an explosion. When I'm facing what was behind me, I see Winter reloading his rocket gun and a car on flames rolling away before hitting another vehicle making it stop completely.

A minute later, the red head jumps onto his shoulders and wraps her legs around him securing herself so she doesn't fall off. She then takes choking wire and encases his neck, starting to strangle him. Though Winter almost knew this was going to happen from the moment she hurled herself onto his shoulders. So as she was bringing the wire around his neck, Winter put his flesh right hand inbetween the wire and his neck, ensuring that he doesn't choke.

As I see the scene unfold, my legs and brain work together. My combat boots slapping against the ground as I sprint towards them, as I go to save my partner. A few feet before I get to them, I jump and grab the womans fire red hair by her scalp and throw her down. When her head slammed against the concrete, it bounced back up before fully resting on the ground. Her eyes open wide with pain circling them, though that doesn't stop her from pulling out shock discs and throwing them at us. Two went on my bionic limbs, my right arm was paralyzed for a short period of time until I pulled it off.

But, when the second one was attached to my vibrianium leg I screamed. My leg was always more painful and tender, it had my demoblizing switch built in. I  dropped to the floor in tremendous pain, not being able to get the disc out, it carried on shocking me. Winter looked at me and then to Natasha with hatred in his dull steel blue eyes, he reached for the disc in his arm and yanked it out, throwing it to the floor. Winter then crouched down in front of me and gently took it off, reliving myself of the pain I was experiencing.

Once he helped me up off the solid ground, I wasted no time to quickly grab my glock from it's holster and aiming for the Black Widow. Just like all the times before, I breathe in and aim for her shoulder, I squeeze the trigger rocketing the bullet from its barrel. As the bullet soared through the air at one thousand seven hundred miles per second, it hits our target in a matter of a few seconds making her drop against a car. As the Black Widow was on her hands and knees, she crawls over to the other side of the car taking cover from us.

As we stalk closer to Natasha, we could hear her laboured breaths. Her hair hitting the metal car gently signalling she was looking both ways for us. Stupid. They always did that, look for us. They would never learn. You wouldn't see us coming, you wouldn't hear us coming. We was just there. Playing a cat and mouse game and we were winning.  Though just as I thought that bullets start to rain apon us, and a shield knocks me over.

Above us a black man (Sam Wilson) shouts 'watch out!' to Steve Rogers who is a few yards away from us when Winter picks the red, white, and blue shield up and throws it back like a frisbee. Rogers catches it with both hands holding it against his stomach, but it makes him slide back. As he regained his balance, he looked directly at us and then to Natasha who's petrified for her life. I look to his sky blue eyes and see that's he's made up a plan so I kick Winter's shoe. That alone tells him everything.

I don't understand why I did that or why Winter understood what I meant but I didn't question it. Not when we had a task at hand. I stand in a stance where I'm ready for a fight, and that's when I start to change. My hair turning a turquoise colour, my eyes now has a violet shimmer to them. My hands start to glow violet as well, the mist engulfing them from my palms. Beneath my mask I smirk, I haven't used my powers for a while and damn did it feel good too. I wave my hands around and my glow wraps around Wilson sending him flying back and away from us, not causing anymore problems then need be.

I turn back to Steve and see that him and Winter are going at it. Each of them sending the other a punch to the gut or almost catching them around the face, but missing by a few centimetres.  While watching them, my eyes are on Winter like a hawk in case the Captain hits him. But, I don't hear the thud of footsteps rushing towards me. So when hands grab my waist and throw me down, it shocked me to say the least. Soon the shock subsided and anger rose within me.

Turning around, I summoned my powers only this time it wasn't like the last time, no, I used my elemental ones. Using the wind around us I make a strong gust of wind, picking up the man. He screams profanities at me, about how it was unfair. All I do is chuckle slightly, everyone is always surprised when I use them.

As I focus on keeping the wind     a-float, Sam Wilson grips something behind him. Which turned out to be a gun, I didn't have enough time to react when he took shots at me. One embedding itself into my flesh right leg. I drop to one knee and let the air go, as well as Wilson. He hits the ground with a thud but wastes no time to get back up. He comes charging at me and his fist  collides with my face, my neck snaps to the side and my mask falls off and to the floor.

I kick him away with my bionic leg, which makes him stumble back. I take the end of his gun that I snatched while doing so and use it to hit him over the head, my targets body slumps to the ground. Looking to my right, I see how Winter was doing with our other target. He flips his blade in his hand before lunging for the blonde. The sky blue eyed man pushes the knife away and it gets penetrated to the blue van they were fighting against.

The righteous man shoves Winter away; the act makes Winter lose his balance and he rolls backwards, his mask comes off in the process. When Winter turns around his face is on full show, I start running to him (with a limp due to the bullet wound) to help back him up. Winter and I stand together facing Steve Rogers who's face is showing pure confusion, mixed in with sadness. Almost like he's seen a ghost.

"Bucky?!" He takes a pause

"Betty?!, I thought I lost you to Hydra again. For five years, you've been gone." His expression hard to read.

Bucky looks to me and then back to Rogers. "Who the hell is Bucky?"
I follow him shortly after.  "Who the hell is Betty?"

Like a coincidence, an explosion goes off yards away, most likely cause by Hydra, so we can get away. As soon as Captain America looks away we sprint and hide in a close by ally. When we peer round we see our failed target look longingly at where we stood moments ago.

Rough hands grasp our elbows and forcefully pulls us back. We walk with the guards until we see the van that took us here before. Climbing in, I see Alexandra Peirce in the back. Eyes burning into ours, letting us know how much he despised us.

"You failed." The most simple two words he said put us on edge. The two of us didn't even glance at each other, we know what was about to happen. Even if we really didn't, we still had a feeling of familiarity. We knew now, that it was time to be scared.

And scared we most definitely were.
