Last week was very crazy for Delilah and I. It's only been 6 days since the incident at the grocery store. We've been trying to move past if, we have a restraining order against Blake now. I wanted to press chargers against him but Delilah reminded about how much attention that would bring to us and we didn't need more of that.
The media went all in on the situation, some people thought it was my fault, some thought it was Blake's fault. Others blamed Delilah. But we've chosen to ignore the press.
Today is our gender reveal party so we're focusing on that right now. We have a ton of people at our house all gathered in our back yard to find out what our final baby will be.

"So what do you hope it will be?" Colleen asks, standing next to me, as I grill some food.

"Healthy." I state plainly.

"That's what I said...until I found out I was having another boy." She places a hand over her swollen stomach. "We're naming him Jospeh, Justin picked it out."

"That's nice." I tell her. I still don't like her much but she's Delilah's friend so I'll be nice.

"Do you have any names picked out?"

"Scarlett for a girl." I smile at the name, Delilah and I are so obsessed with the idea that we're making the nursery scarlet colored if it's a girl.

"And for a boy?" She asks. We only thought of one name if it's a boy. We like Cameron.

"I don't know...Jospeh." I laugh and she playing slaps my arm.

"So you really hope it's a girl then?" She asks.

"I don't hope for either Colleen, I just want my last child to be as amazing as their siblings...and their mother."

"And her father." She winks and then leaves. I watch her as she walks over to her son before I feel another hand on my back.

"I thought she was about to steal you away from me, for a second." Delilah moves over to my side as she speaks.

"Trust me, no one could ever steal me from you." I smile. She presses a kiss to my cheek and then leaves as well.

After everyone is finished eating, my mom tells Delilah and I to stand at the door. She explains to everyone that if Violet comes out, she will be dressed in purple, it will be a girl. If the boys come out, dressed in camouflage it will be a boy. She informs us that the kids picked the colors as well. Delilah and I stand anxiously in front of the back door and wait. My mom counts down from 5 and then the door busts open and Violet runs out in a purple dress and purple sash that says it's a girl!
Delilah and I nearly crumble at the result. Delilah hugs me tightly and we both cry into each other's shoulders.

"Congratulations!" We hear from different people. Then we pull away from each other and share a hug with Violet.

"Are you happy it's a girl?" She asks and we both nod and laugh. Of course we're happy, we would be happy either way but we both are super happy it's a girl.

The rest of the day is spent with everyone having a fun time, eating, drinking and enjoying each other's company. Delilah and I even find time to sneak away for a little.

"Can you believe it?! A girl!" She beams as we sit in a little corner in the living room. I place my and on her stomach to feel her and she kicks at my hand. "Oh wow, that was a big one."

"You're going to be amazing Scarlett." I whisper and kiss her stomach.

"Oh yeah! I forgot about that. But what about the middle name?" She asks. A million names wash through my mind but I stop at one.

"We haven't used your middle name yet." I tell her.

"Genevieve..."

"Yeah, what do you think? Scarlett Genevieve Urie?"

"I don't know...that's such an old name." She shrugs.

"It is not. It's pretty." I nudge her and she shrugs again.

"I'll have to think about it." She sighs as we hear the door open.

"Jordan...I'm at a party right now." I hear my daughters voice say. She's on the phone. I put my finger to my lips to tell Delilah not to say anything and she nods. "For my baby sister." She speaks again. There's a pause and then she says, "I love you too, I'll see you at school tomorrow." Delilah and I look at each other wide eyed.

"Violet!" I yell as I pull myself from the bench. I nearly run into the kitchen to find Violet sitting at the island. "Who...who was that?" I ask her, more calmly then I really am.

"Who?" She says like she has no idea what I'm talking about.

"Don't play dumb with me ma'am. Who is Jordan?" I place a hand on my hip, in a stern way. Her eyes widen a little and then she looks down.

"My friend." She tries to say subtly.

"Jordan? A friend? What gender is your friend?" I raise my eyebrow.

"Does it matter?" She stands up and slouches.

"Yes it most certainly does." I push. If she says she has a boyfriend I think my head might explode.

"Violet, why don't you go outside and play with Rose." Delilah tells her and she groans before going back out the door. "Brendon, would you please not interrogate our daughter." She asks. How could she say that? She's keeping something from us. Something bad.

"But what if-what if that Jordan kid is a boy and what if he's trying to date her something?" I gesture to where she was standing.

"They are 9 years old Brendon. What could they possibly do? Hold hands? Relax. Even so, it won't last." She shrugs. "We should probably go back out there. It's getting late and people probably want to see us before they leave." She grabs my hand and pulls me outside.
