Jasmine felt empty. She had a whirlwind of a day three days ago. Three days, that's how long Jasmine Uley had been ignoring the pack, Sam, and Jacob. Jacob was miserable without her, and he had no clue how to move forward without her. He could smell her scent and hear her sobs at night, and that was pure torture for Jacob, knowing that she would not allow him to comfort her.
"Jasmine please, we need to talk," Sam said as he tried to get the girl on the other side of the door to respond to his pleas. His efforts were going to waste though since Jasmine had not responded for days. At times, Jacob would sit outside the door either speaking about his day, showcasing how miserable he was without her, or he would sit in silence. Letting it loom in the air.
"Hon, I'm leaving something at the door for you," Emily spoke. Even though Jasmine had not responded, the next morning the plates were empty, telling Emily that she had eaten and was healthy.
"Jasmine, the pack is falling apart without you. We need our alpha's back, but for that, to happen you need to talk to us," Leah spoke. She was the only one out of the pack who spoke to Jasmine, the guys thinking that Leah could get through Jasmine. Even though at the end of the three days, there was no hope that Jasmine would open her door.
Then, on the fifth day, she did. The door was only slightly open, and she had peaked her head out. Then, she took tentative steps down the stairs, seeing the group that she called her friends sitting in silence.
"Hello?" Jasmine spoke.
"Oh hey, Jasmine," Seth said. Then, the pack snapped their heads to where she was standing and Sam rushed to Jasmine,
"Jasmine!" Leah and Emily spoke. They glanced at each other as they did. Both missing the times when they were also like sisters.
Sam grabbed Jasmine and hugged her. Then, she started to sob in Sam's shoulder, letting all her emotions out for the first time in five days. The pack quietly leaving, not wanting to interrupt the moment between the two.
"I'm so hurt," Jasmine spoke between sobs. Sam just held her tighter, knowing that Jasmine needed to let her emotions out before they talked.
"I know Jas, just let it all out," Sam replied. He had called her by a nickname that she had not heard in a while. Though it came out due to habit, it showed that they were getting back to who they were, when they were as close as a brother and sister.
"I heard everything. I'm so sorry," Jasmine spoke. Sam stroked her hair gently, trying to comfort the crying girl, and then replied,
"It okay, we forgive you," Sam replied. He then pulled her away from his shoulder and spoke,
"Now, I want to see that smile," Sam said while cupping her cheeks. Then, with tears streaming down her face, Jasmine smiled. Sam then kissed her forehead and said,
"There's my Jasmine,"
