Hey guys! I know there are a few questions when it comes to this book and I've gotten a few messages about them. I honestly only have answers for a few of them. I won't be tagging people with these questions, but I hope this clears things up a bit!
Recently, I haven't been updating as much as I want to. I honestly want to update each one of my stories once a week, but sometimes I don't have anything to write. It's like my thinking bubble for writing is broken. I promise I am working hard on what to do next, but it's hard with school and everything going on.
Q: Why does each generation get stronger instead of weaker?
A: This is honestly a really good question! With each generation, the pulls to the earth gets stronger. When this pull is strengthened, it improves powers and physical ability.
Q: Do the elementals believe in a high power of any sort?
A: I personally am not a believer in a higher power, so many of my books will not include high powers. The closest things the elementals have the 'high power' is the elders. While the elders are not as strong as the younger generation, their wisdom will often be sought out through out the book. They know things that the younger ones don't and they help a lot through out the book.
Q: Why are there so many main characters?
A: I honestly don't like only having one main character in books. The reason behind this is, when writing with only one main character, it is more tempting to kill off the lead and I feel that's not fair to you guys. I don't want to have you guys get attached to the main character and me take that away from you.
Q: Will Kate ever go by her birth name?
A: I honestly haven't thought about this. If Kate went by her birth name, it might help me further along in the story. So, maybe she will. We'll have to see.
Q: Why is Mathew so stuck on getting Kate?
A: I honestly just have a bad guy in each of my stories. Mathew is the bad guy in this story along with a few other things I will throw in and the 'safe house' elders.
Q: Why did the elementals have to be put in 'safe houses'?
A: The elders don't want rouge elementals going around and killing innocent people and other elementals.
Q: Why are the kids in the 'safe houses' taught not to produce offspring?
A: The elders don't want more elementals in the world. Honestly, they just want to get rid of the elementals all together, so they can stop worrying about it and live their lives to the fullest.
Q: Why is Kate and her family so much stronger than everyone else?
A: Awesome question! It is actually because Kate's grandma was only 14 when she had Kate's dad, so technically Kate's dad is supposed to be in Kate's generation and Kate and Noah shouldn't be alive, but Kate's grandma accidentally had Kate's dad and kept him.
Q: Does Kate have any other family?
A: Not that I am going to reveal just yet. Maybe later on. I haven't really thought about this until now.
Q: How old is everyone?
A: Kate: 17
Noah: 19
Nick: 18
Mathew: 20
Noah girlfriend: 18
River: 12 (or so he says *wink wink*)
Aiden: 6 (almost 7)
Kate's dad: 39
Kate's mom: 41
Okay, before all of you attack me, please realize that age has nothing to do with love! Kate's dad and mom are deeply in love and have been through so much together. They were around their early twenties when they had kids. Yes, Kate's dad was only 20 when Noah was born and Kate's mom was 22, but once again AGE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LOVE WHEN YOU GET OLDER.
Kate's parent's were 18 and 20 when they met and they were both consenting adults throughout their whole relationship! Thank you.
Q: Will there be a sequel to this book or any of the others that you know about at this time?
A: This will be the only book to this series that I plan at this time. Last October will be two books. Saving Isabella will be one book with an detailed epilogue at the end. Dreaming or Reality is discontinued at this time, but will have two books in it when I get back to writing it. Thank you for asking!
Q: How long are most of the chapters?: (Words wise)
A: Words wise they range from 900-2000 words per chapter. I try to keep it above 1000 so you guys have something to read.
