When we finally get to stop, we are in front of a very tall and large amount of crowded trees. These people are definitely crazy if they think this is their home or that the girls and I are following them into this thick of forest. No way. I turn to look at the older girls, and they knod as if reading my mind.
I reach out to touch one of the guards and burn him. He screams and falls down. The ones around him run to him to check on him. I knew that they would. These 'men' are all too easy to read. I crouch down, and trip one walking by, grabbing his gun in the process.
I stand up and point the gun at one of the guards trying to keep us in the circle while one of his comrades in on the ground in withering pain. I can see his eyes flash with fear as I load the gun with a loud *CLINK CLACK*. The guy puts his hands up and backs away. I keep my eyes on him as the girls make a water and air wall the block off the others.
"Where are we and why are we here?" I demand as I keep my gun on him. My eyes unwavering. The man takes off his mask and everyone gasps.
"You are in the colleny of the rising. And you're all here because the elder of our group, your father, my father, has been looking for you for a long time. Welcome back, little sister," the boy looks like me but in male form. The only difference is his eyes are a startling green where mine are brown. I look him up and down.
"Prove you're related to me," I raise the gun higher on my arm as I start to feel myself shake with worry.
"How? I have moms element and you have dads. You don't even know moms yet," he shrugs and keeps looking at me weird.
"Why did they have to get rid of me and not you?" I ask as I slowly feel my gun lower.
"They did get rid of me, they found me three years ago. I kept how good I was at things a secret and they kept me in the same place. You were too little to understand what was going on, but mom and dad made me promise not to show how strong I was when they left us there. We were together the first five years of being in a 'safe house', then they started dividing them by gender as well as by strength and mom and dad came back a few months later. You had came into your power faster than expected and they had moved you too many times to keep up. We lost you, until now. Please, believe me. We've all missed you so much," he looks... heartbroken? Like he failed at something, what, I have no idea.
"You shouldn't show emotion when dealing with other people. It shows weakness," I state out of habit and he chuckles. I look him up and down and he shakes his head with a smile. I drop my gun and hug him. I remember having an older boy look out for me when I was younger. I remember his eyes and the way he protected me. His eyes are the same and he is still strong. I smile and hug him tighter.
"Now, will you please call your friends off and come say 'hello' to our mother?" he chuckles and I nod. The girls seem to have overheard or were watching because they back up and bit and take down the wall. I know why they backed up the second I see all the 'men' fall over. I laugh as I see different varieties of body sizes crash and fall on one another. My brother watches his comrades with amusement and the girls giggle.
A few of the 'men' stand up and take their masks off. I gasp. Half the guards are female, and beautiful. Wow. I look at all of them with amazement. They all belonged in a magazine. They look at me in awe. What is that about. Then, I realize they're looking at my hand, which is holding my brothers and they all blush when he makes eye contact. Is my brother a heart-breaker? I look up at him in amusement and he shrugs with a sly smile. I roll my eyes.
