Th-ee-oh-phobia

*OKAY, THIS PART MAY BE SENSITIVE TO SOME READERS AS IT DEALS WITH RELIGION!!!!!!

Alright, so - you all know that religion is bound to show up sometime in this book, and as a quick disclaimer, I am non-religious okay. The parts in my story are uninfluenced by religion, but if anyone has a problem with either me or my story please address the issue via a comment to which I will respond asap to, or DM me and we will discuss it.

ON WITH THE PART!

Theophobia is the fear of religion/god/gods of any culture.

As defined and described by www.common-phobias.com,

Theophobia is the fear of gods or religion. The origin of the word theo is Greek (meaning god or deity) and phobia is Greek (meaning fear). Theophobia is considered to be a specific phobia, which is discussed on the home page. Theophobia is also related Zeusophobia (fear of God or gods).

The causes on this phobia vary, so there is not always one definition to why people have Theophobia.

-It is generally accepted that phobias arise from a combination of external events (i.e. traumatic events) and internal predispositions (i.e. heredity or genetics). Many specific phobias can be traced back to a specific triggering event, usually a traumatic experience at an early age. Social phobias and agoraphobia have more complex causes that are not entirely known at this time. It is believed that heredity, genetics, and brain chemistry combine with life-experiences to play a major role in the development of phobias. (Wikipedia - phobia).

The symptoms of Theophobia vary with the severity of the fear.

-As with any phobia, the symptoms vary by person depending on their level of fear. The symptoms typically include extreme anxiety, dread and anything associated with panic such as shortness of breath, rapid breathing, irregular heartbeat, excessive sweating, nausea, dry mouth, inability to articulate words or sentences, and shaking.

Sweet, now you all are more knowledgeable.
