Trixie's POV
I sat in class staring out of the window. I tapped my pencil on my desk and sighed. "Ms. Mattel, am I boring you?"

"Huh?" I looked at Ms. Visage, stunned.

"I said am I boing you? You are star gazing without the stars."

"Isn't that called daydreaming?" There were gasps through the class. Ms. Visage crossed her arms and held the chalk out to me.

"How about you come solve this problem Ms. Smarty?" I stood up and walked to the board. I grabbed the chalk and looked at the problem. Ms. Visage chuckled and turned her back to me, facing the class. "You see class? This is why you have to pay attention in school. If she was paying attention, she would know how to do this problem."

"I'm done."

"Wait, what?" Ms. Visage turned around and looked at me. "You're what?"

"I said I'm done." Ms. Visage looked at the problem and then back at me. "Can I sit down now?" She nodded her head. I walked to my desk and went back to looking out the window. I went through the whole class just being in my own world. The bell rang, making the sound of chairs sliding and footsteps ring through my ears. I grabbed my things and stood up.

"Ms. Mattel, could you come here please?" I sighed and walked to Ms. Visage's desk.

"Yes?"

"Are you bored in this class?"

"Not really."

"It seemed like it. Would you like to be transferred to another class?"

"I thought there was only one for sophomores right now."

"I can have you put in the junior math class."

"Wait, you can do that?" Ms. Visage smiled and looked through a book on her desk.

"Of course I can, just cut down on the sass okay?" I nodded my head and rubbed the back of my neck.

"Sure thing."

"Good, I most likely will have you transferred Thursday, so you have to deal with my boring class for a few more days. But try to act more into it okay? For my sake." I nodded my head and walked out of the classroom, I walked to my locker. As I opened my locker I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around to see the talkative blonde from before.

"Hey Trixie, how is your first day going?"

"Oh, hello Katya, it is going okay. Thank you." I turned back to my locker but Katya was still there. I sighed and looked at her. "Can I help you Katya?"

"Just wanted to know if you wanted to have lunch with me."

"No, not really." I thought Katya would go away but she smiled at me instead.

"Aw, why not? We can be friends."

"I don't need friends."

"I didn't say you did but I want to be your friend."

"Why? You don't know me." Katya leaned against the locker next to mine and smiled at me.

"That is why I wanna be your friend, duh. So let me be your friend." I rolled my eyes and groaned.

"Do you not give up?"

"Why should I?"

"Fine, we can have lunch. Just so you can see that I am not that great."

"Well, that is for me to decide. Come on." Katya grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the door.

"Wait, where are we going?"

"I am a junior, so I can leave campus to get food. We just have to be back in an hour."

"Where are we gonna go?"

"The mall."

"Katya, the nearest mall is two hours away."

"It is not. You just got here newbie."

"Fine." I let Katya pull me outside to her car. She pulled me to a black sports car. "You drive that?"

"Yeah, I got it for my 17th birthday."

"That's cool." Katya opened the door for me and smiled. She threw her bag in the backseat and got in. She smiled at me once again and sighed. "Do you always smile so much?"

"Oh, sorry. Just having a good day."

"Hmm."

"So, where do you wanna eat?"

"I don't care."

"Uh, well what do you like?"

"Chinese."

"Oh, sounds good." Katya started the car and pulled out of the school's parking lot.

"Why'd you bring your bag?"

"I am going home after we get lunch."

"Oh, why?"

"I don't wanna be there. It is too much for me right now."

"Why's that?"

"Well, in my free time I take college art classes. My father works at the college so he pulled some strings to get me in. I have always wanted to study under the professor, she is one of the best in the state. But anyway, we have to paint three different paintings for a project and I am stuck. I have no inspiration for any of them."

"It can't be that hard can it?"

"I struggle with anxiety, so the simplest task can be the end of the world for me sadly."

"I am sorry to hear that."

"Eh, it is life. I have learned to not let it stop me from doing what I love, even if I always think I will fail. I try and see how it goes." Katya smiled as she drove. If only I could be as careless as her. Maybe I would be happier and able to smile more. I looked out of the window and watched all the trees past by.
