Katya's POV
"Are you having fun?"
"Yeah, I am." Trixie smiled softly, not taking her eyes off of the clown we were watching perform.
"Well, I am glad. I would hate if you didn't have fun." Trixie looked at me, her eyes bright and beautiful.
"Good thing I am then." Trixie put her arm in mine and leaned her head on my shoulder. "Katya?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you like me?" I looked down at Trixie, a bit confused about her question and even more confused about how to answer it.
"Well, yeah." I put my free arm above my head, trying to play it cool. "Why?"
"Because you kissed me."
"Oh, that."
"Yeah, that. You know, I liked that." I looked at Trixie, staring in her nonchalant eyes. She looked past me after a few seconds. "Let's go get on the ferris wheel."
"O-okay." Trixie took control, pulling me where she wanted me to go. My mind was a bit cloudy from Trixie telling me she liked the kiss. I smiled as I watched her walk in front of me. "Trixie?"
"Yeah?" I stopped walking just before we reached the ferris wheel. Trixie looked a bit confused at me. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, but can I kiss you again?"
"Why?"
"Because I want to."
"And I want to ride the ferris wheel. Come on."
"You're a brat."
"I've been told." The ride to the top of the ferris wheel was nice. Trixie held my hand the entire time. "It's beautiful."
"Yeah, it is." I was focused more on Trixie than the view. I had a lifetime to look at the moon and stars but it was just something about Trixie. Something that made me want to just treat every little moment as heaven.
"Katya, I wanted to say thank you for this."
"Thank you for saying yes when I asked." Trixie laid her head on my shoulder as she took a deep breathe.
"I was scared to move. I didn't think I would be happy here, or anywhere really."
"Why?"
"I suck at letting go of stuff. That is the simple answer."
"And the not simple answer?"
"Maybe I'll tell you one day."
"Okay, I'm fine with that."
"Thank you." Trixie smiled warmly at me before bringing her lips to mine. I put my hand on Trixie's cheek, softly pulling her deeper into the kiss. I wrapped my other arm around Trixie's waist, grabbing her hip. I pulled away from Trixie slowly.
"I think we should leave soon."
"Oh really?"
"Yes."
"Hmm."
After about another hour at the fair, Trixie and I left. We stopped for dinner at some little diner then started the drive to her house. I pulled into Trixie's driveway beside a blue car. "Is your mom home?"
"Yeah, she is."
"Will you get in trouble for coming home so late?"
"Eh, she won't know. Bianca covered for me. But hey, um it's late do you want to maybe..stay the night?"
"What about your mom?"
"I wake up and leave for school before she even wakes up. She doesn't get up until about 2 in the afternoon."
"Trixie, I don't know." Trixie's smile broke and her eyes filled with a bit of sadness as she looked down.
"I'm sorry, it was crazy of me to ask. Thanks for such a good night Katya. See you tomorrow at school." Trixie leaned over and kissed my cheek. I watched as Trixie got out of my car and walked to her front door. I sighed as I watched her go inside. My mind wondered to Trixie's question, to her lips, to her soft skin. Was it too early in my life to be fully in love? I put my head on the stearing wheel but grabbed my phone when it buzzed. I smiled when I saw the message.
Trixie💕:Thank you for such a good time even if I don't get to be in your company some more.
Me: It's so tempting but..
Trixie💕: But what
Me: Trixie I'm going to be honest.
Trixie💕: okay
Me: You are maybe the sexiest girl I've ever met. Something as simple as touching you sent chills through my body, kissing you lit a fire. I had to pull myself back on the ferris wheel. I could only image what could happen tonight.
Was that too much to say? Maybe I was too honest with her. We were only friends so there was no reason for me to say such things to her. Fuck. I closed my eyes and leaned my head back. "Nice going Yekaterina." There was a knock at my window that broke my pity party. I looked over to see Trixie, standing outside my window. I opened my door and got out of my car. "Uh hey Trix.." Trixie was silent as she looked at me. Her brown eyes made even more beautiful by the moonlight. "Are you okay?" Trixie grabbed me and pulled me into her, my lips crashing into hers. There was passion that I couldn't explain but I was okay with it. 100% okay with it.
